  3. Have you checked the bogies? They are a bit fiddly and can get a bit out of kilter at times Remove the screw and see if the coupler is correctly sitting in its depression The 2 lugs should be forward of the 2 retainers Spring should also be attached to the rear of the coupler Failing this get the rest of the coaches to lean to the same side and say nothing!

  8. Hope to have the third picture in this series soon! So I went from this To this, having had to remove the eletrical socket on the right first! Now I am just waiting for a knock on the door.....
  9. Just finished sorting out everything from the Stillorgan show yesterday and have just logged on Thankfully there have been no replies to your post Garreth as I think you have missed the point This is a kit build and will only be as good as the person who builds it There is nothing constructive about your criticism's If its good enough for the builder who are we to argue? You did raise some good points about the hand rails and stripping down the chassis which I think would improve the build It is however a private build, its not being sold as 'the best break van in the world ever' The criticism of the lamps is criticism for the sake of criticism, a mistake by the builder which can be easily fixed If I had the skill to build a similar one the forum would be sick of my pictures of it at this stage but as I failed Kit building for fools I am in awe of anyone who can create something like that So onwards and upwards troops and start posting loads more pics, I am sure there are many more skilled builders out there
  10. Hopefully I am next in line Steve Have asked for a few tweeks on the original model Now I know why mine wernt ready yesterday Anto:((
  11. I have never see that Cu Na Mara logo inside the coach before Great bit of work Wanderer, thanks.
  12. The fact that you dont buy them because you think they are too dear does not make any kind of statement. Say you are not buying them because they are too dear Now you have said/done something Feel better?
  13. Is there alcohol involved here? Cant seem to get the jist of this post? "I will write a review so that i am not going on about it." Did I get that right?
  14. Puttin up me prices after this: Increasing postage as well! http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Lima-Murphy-Models-NIR-Mk2-Coach-Pack-Northern-Ireland-Railways-RARE-/261217289876?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3cd1c38694#ht_500wt_949
  15. Fair play Karl Some very good points there to take on board My own imput has been targeted at the commercial side of the hobby Where an item is tendered for sale and it is not up to scratch, this should always be pointed out, but it should be done with some dignity, People have the right to call themselves whatever they like. That doesn't bother me. It's other people doing the calling that bothers me I think the Review Section is a great idea and I will take it up with "management"
  16. This is from the same guy I bought the last one from, I asked him at the time if he had any more Irish bits and he said no, the swine! Even using the same pic from the last one
  17. At least I do spend money, ya mane bastard!!!!
  18. Steve Unfortunately the forum will not allow me to print what I want to say about the weedsprays Not a happy camper is not really the expression I had in mind but it will have to do I have commissioned an old pal to do a set (10) of Tara’s for me, which I should have in the next couple of weeks Also have a rake of Park Royals just about ready for collection from a different builder Before having them built I expressed my concerns about the finished product and both lads said that if they were not up to their high standards they would refund my money Can’t ask for any better than that I will post some pics when I have the finished products but some pics that were sent during construction would give a winagon to some of the more senior contributors here Nuff said
  19. Steve I paid €450 + p&p for the Weedspray wagons Pocket money price? I think not
  20. Kind of agree Richie Bough a couple of weedsprays some time back When I opened the box I was not a happy camper Put them straight back in and decided to send them back, but for one reason or another I didnt get around to it Only found them again recently and I have spent hours trying to sort them out but to no avail Paid a fortune for them and they are just not up to scratch Might actually send them over to you to see if you could salvage them for me? Manufacturer has been dropped from my Christmas Card list
  21. My tuppence worth: To buy track in a shop we are limited to HO track, its not OO and that's it! So the stock we buy should be able to run on this track Now if people want to build 21mm track I don't think its much of an ask to get them to convert the stock? We have a 21 mm layout in the club, "Loughrea" Smashin layout and fantastic modelling in every way BUT Only one man has any 21 mm stock to run on it That says it all for me
  22. And maybe the beer barrels as well? Will the 42' need any weight attached as some of the 3d ones on sale at the moment cant go round any type of curve without having a shiethaemorrhage?
  23. Any news on these babies Des Bit of space on the new layout........
