Because of serious clusterfooks with so called professional model makers I will refrain from commenting on this thread. You pays your money and you takes your chances.

21mm gauge track; the pros and cons?
WRENNEIRE replied to jhb171achill's topic in Irish Model Layouts
Some old pics of Loughrea, an end to end 21mm MRSI Layout It was in the process of being stripped before being displayed at the Dun Laoghaire show. The baseboards to the left are for the O Connell St layout to give you some idea of size Also there is a small fiddle yard behind the far Loughrea sign. -

Just for you Fran, a little break from your Accurascale, non Irish! gig 1976 Lima catalogue, no Irish content However it shows HO scale Class 33's with OO gauge couplings They are catalogued as OO, but they only have 4 digit catalogue numbers, 00 gauge have 6 So now I am wondering which came first, the HO IR 33 with HO or OO couplings?

In 1990 as far as I am aware, 1509 only lasted 3 years, derailed and was never put back in service

Murphy Models will have a snack car in the early livery in the next couple of months

A little off topic but I had to stick it in With the rise of self-driving vehicles, it's only a matter of time before we get a country song where a guy's truck leaves him too.
-
Absolutely no idea what you are trying to say there man But I will repeat what I said earlier Murphy Models did NOT produce these coaches, OK?
-
These are not Murphy Model coaches man, they are an RPSI production

Always mystified me about the price of Bachmann bogies They do Bullied, Commonwealth, Collett, LMS, Thompson & the standard Mk 1 bogie for £6.50 But a pair of B4's is £10 and Y25 is £11

Jesus that's rough Noel Square front looks well off among other things However it might suit someone who is willing to accept it On an Athern chassis so I reckon it will be a good runner.
-
Your at it again Noel WSF? FUD? From experience the older MIR flats were prone to distortion unless a 40' container was permanently glued to it
-
Its the only way anyone would rape you George.
-
Coming at it from the collectors end of things Noel, would need to be in its correct box with all the correct bits etc So only 250 of #18 & 250 of #19 made which puts it in the rare category, but starting at £230 (around €265?) is really taking the "hit and miss" Old records show best price for a #19 was £155 back in 09 So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land!
