  1. Very little externally. Something like the ladder and number boards, maybe a grill but it's minimal. I will consult my books when I get home to give you a more definitive answer. P.S working on something new which will get your thumbs up when it's finished, awaiting parts at the mo but keep an eye out!

  3. Very nice. Former Southern Pacific still earning its corn. I bought an old Athearn SD9 for the SSM sulzer but I won't be buying one of them now. She's now in the upgrade pile and this might be an idea. Mines a former SP Caddy too!
  4. Have to agree with this. I've turned some of mine down but still gets on my nerves after a while. I have a couple of yank sound locos on order and they'll be my last sound fitted locos to complete a few lash ups I've been building up.
  5. Love 111 and 078, top notch! The older liveries like orange and NIR blue really are the best.
  6. Correct, the Irish ones are for 45 foot containers. The British KQA are for 40 footers.

  13. I understand that Rich but I can't see myself paying 300 quid for a loco if the production is shifted back to the UK. I think one of the spokespeople for one of the British outline companies (possibly Dave Jones) has gone on record to say that would be the cost of a loco if made in the UK
  14. They've also brought or are bringing humbrol paint back to the UK too. I'm not sure if it would make economic sense to bring their more expensive items like train production back to the UK any time soon. Mind you if it cuts out some of the mistakes that have been made recently ( GWR suburban coaches with B4 bogies) I'm sure it would be welcome by some.

    Agreed, once it has the grab irons on and it's a sunny day with suitable weathering I think it'll look good. I'm just glad they're still getting overhauls.
