  1. I'd second this, and I've brought it up a few times, another run 141/181s would sell very well I feel. To me they are still the best running locos released by PM.
  2. They have that sused with the TPE Mk5 push pull sets they are working on right now.
  3. Has to be Mk3 push pull sets to go with the IR and IE 121s. I'm sure another part of the weed spray train too.. cough cough.... Mk1GSV cough.
  4. Just got my first rake today after they got lost in the post system, second rake due tomorrow. The detail on these is amazing and I was surprised that they weigh as much as they do. The cages and kegs are a masterpiece of detail design at this scale.
  5. Only reason I went for them was the price, as I already have 6 from the second batch but I don't feel the quality control justifies the full RRP on these at all. I've had quality issues with most of Mk2Ds I've bought, I must be unlucky I don't know out of the 30 odd ones I have. Craven's and locos, no issues except for one 201 out of the box.
  6. Just the other day I got 2 Mk2Ds from IRM before they sold out. One was fine out the box, the other... well. The other coach 5202, I opened the box and 2 of the battery boxes were sitting at the bottom along with a small bit of perspex that I instantly could see were the gangway door windows. Now, the battery boxes were not damaged they had just dropped out. One of the return springs on one of the coupler was not fitted. This to me was either a rush job coach or a shop return. You could see the dried in glue on the window panel. So, After paying €50 I have fit and glue 2 battery boxes, pop the roof off and fit and glue the gangway way window and fit a spring to the return coupler collar. Not at all impressed with MM Mk2 range as its not the first time I've had to fix up coaches or return them out of the box. No offence to PM but I'd like to see IRM do the entire MK2 range as I feel the MM ones are very poor for the money.
  7. My keg order dispatched on the 18th and still no sign, yet the Mk2Ds I ordered dispatched on the 19th and I got them Wednesday morning. The kegs seem to be held up somewhere, and I've a funny feeling my send keg order will get here first and they dispatched on the 23rd. It's pot luck at the moment
  8. So basically, just those 4 got the upgrade 645 and rest kept the 567 for their working lives. I mainly wondering what 124 and 134 ended up with then they were withdrawn. As of now I'm thinking the 567, and it's what I'm ordering for my MM locos.
  9. I was thinking along the lines of the C201s becoming the B201s after the GM packs were fitted. It does make more sense than re numbering the whole loco fleet.
  10. To follow on to this, I believe that the power rating letter was in relation to other classes. Not the Type system used in the UK in relation to HP rating. For example, if they kept the system going, when the 071s were introduced they would become the new A class. The 001s drop to B and so on.
  11. Either have I till now. It must have been phased out as the locos were overhauled? because it's not on any of the later livery locos.
  12. No light green sample?
  13. Looking at the latest pics I think PM even captured the marker lights being the wrong way round on 134 too. It's a bit hard to tell but I think he did it.
  14. Love the golden brown tan shade you guys went with.
  15. I've a question about the 645 engine in the 121s. From the limited research I can do all I can see is that 121,126-129 got 645 engines in the mid to late 80s. 121 only had it for about a year before that engine wen to 154 and 121 went back to its 567 engine. So gone by that just 2 locos being released would be correct in the 645 sound chip?
  16. If IRM do them they will be better than the Bachmann versions as they basically the UK versions resprayed. The IE ones have a different bogie and buffer type, IRM might even get a lighting pack in them too.
  17. It's been about 7 years and still no sign. They were a commission by 3 Irish stores from Bachmann. 2 of those stores have since ceased trading with only Marks Models left.
  18. For anyone who has seen the samples first hand. Can anyone confirm if PM managed to model the LED lights on 134 the opposite way from 124. 134 has the red LEDs on the outside of the whites instead of the usual white outside the reds.
  19. I note the RPSI logo on the box. Are they commissioning 134 in the grey livery by any chance?
  20. First in black and silver was 081. 077,078,084 and 087 were never in black and silver. 77,78 and 87 were in long term maintenance storage while the black and silver program was under way. 084 managed to hold on to it's IE orange untill it went to grey in 2013. 084 was the last loco to wear the IE livery in service.
  21. I was talking to the lads about these last September in person. Basically yes, and the prep work is done. It's just up to them to pick a production slot for when they feel the time is right to release them. Before that, project 42 has to be completed and delivered to market. Then the CIE ballast hopper run. So they are a good bit away but rest assured are coming.
  22. Look up train sim world on YouTube. There's a start up of an EMD GP38 or try a UK class 66 for something close to a 201 but with a very different desk layout. I'm very into the various German routes on it myself. The UK routes set in the 80s with 31s, 37s and 40s are all great fun too. Anyway, back on topic......
  23. Is the Bulk a 30ft?
  24. I tried selling that same set on here for 250 a few years ago and I got zero interest so I'm keeping it.
  25. No idea, the other flat wagon was a winch wagon then it was dumped at North wall yard and one of the 42 or 47 flats was added before that wagon was dropped back a few days later. A rake of spoil wagons and the weedspray flats were all stripped a few weeks ago and reportedly sent to Limerick for exam.
