    IRM Fert Wagon

I believe they're empties in that shot. No way would it have moved that lot if they were loaded.

    Another modeling option
  3. Some interesting shunting practices for the time, like letting the small rake of flats free roll back into the dump sidings after an uncoupled push. Even today locos shunting in the yard push through points to set them if they are no already.
  4. In fairness 26,000 people applied for 100 positions. That's alot of competition. Irish Rail can basically get the best of the best at those ratios, it raised the bar for all applicants to pass.
  5. A final word from us We hope the feedback we have provided to you is of benefit and interest. We appreciate that you are likely to be disappointed that we have not been able on this occasion to take you through to an assessment centre. However it is important to note that only a very small percentage of applicants who applied will be passing through to the assessment centre. You have performed well and looking at the online selection process as a whole (including the online screening questionnaire and the three online tests) you got further and performed better than the majority of people that applied. Thank you again for your interest in Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail. and the role of Train Driver. With best wishes for the future The OPC Assessment Team That's me out anyways.

I mean from point of view of models that IRM produce. They would not do 31025 with the wrong bogie type if they knew otherwise, they would have went with a different running number. Like how they only did the Bubbles in IC livery on the running numbers they know of.

I know the guys at IRM are dead set on detail on their models. Something that I have just noticed recently is that 1 or 2 of the tara wagons have the shale wagon bogies that are not shale rebuilds into taras. I think below is wagon 23 and I have another somewhere of wagon 25 at Limerick Junction with the same bogies. Any info on how these wagons ended up with these bogies?
  8. It's all over Boards.ie too for past few months. Word going round is that they will be leasing 185s. Also alot of talk on the order for 41 intermediate ICR cars to extend ICR set formations.
  9. I know it's a Dapol issue but will you guys be looking into some sort of coupling arrangement between Dapols 68 and your 5s? I wish Dapol would address it as it derails locos out of the box as it is.
  10. Nice one lads on the CAF Mk5s, never saw that one coming at all. A big, big wow from me. I was going hold off on Dapol's TPE Class 68 but not an longer. Not saying anything about the 92

Your second picture, they area all blue under all that dust. Same as this Here's a gem I just found through Google.

They were basically always grey with dirt, dust. It's only in the past 10 years that the Tara wagons have got more regular maintenance, that they are now cleaner more often and they get repainted more regularly. Ever since all the cement and shale traffic stopped Limerick works have more time to give to the Taras and it shows.
  13. The first and last of the 2800 class side by side there. Units 1/2 and 19/20.
  14. Same here. Only did stage 1 yesterday evening, was amazed to have a mail this morning at 5am for the stage 2 tests. I didn't expect to pass the first part.
  15. Agreed thanks you fur the cards. But on the same note my other half got her card sent to her Parcel Motel address. Now granted it was most automated address list. It cost her 3.95 on the account and held up valuable limited space considering the time of year. Just something to note. But cheers lads and hats off to 2018 and bring on 2019.
  16. 112 looks right at home with those taras, it was no stranger to them either. I don't believe 111 or 113 aver got round to hauling them, even when 113 was on short term loan in the early 2000s along with 112 on long term loan.

They go to Limerick all the time for works. There is a small wagon works shed in Northwall for minor issues. Usually 1 wagon a week goes to Limerick for maintenance. They go as part of wagon transfer trains from Northwall along with any LP or LX flats that need work, usual;y stop off at Inchicore on the way there and back.

Don't think they ever went south of East Wall Junction except for recently when 8209 had to haul a failed empty Tara back to the Connolly wash road before propelling it back to Fairview and reversing down East Wall back to North Wall yard to dump 085.
  19. Still need to swap 036 and 054 around. Both same just numbers.
  20. Thanks, just that it stands out on the site next to 027 in the same livery cause 027 is all same shade while 056s brighter roof jumps out.
  21. No, not on 056. I know what the dayglows look like. 056 is in supertrain with IR and no dayglows. It has 2 different shades of orange in the artwork.
  22. Also on the artwork, I think its 056. It has bright IR orange roof and CIE tan below the black band. Is this how it will be produced, very interesting detail if so. Think yous have 036 and 054 mixed up on the site artwork.
