  1. I am going to the Bangor show for the first time.I look forward to it.
  2. Had a very enjoyable first day at the show.I was running the clubs layout"Bushville" US HO scale. And the world did not stop turning because of Irish stock on it,indeed people were very complimentary on how it looked and it is now been sold. 20220417_112410.mp4
  3. I look forward to the show.I am down to run the Clubs USA layout "Bushville"which will have a Irish theme to it.
  4. The damaged oil tanks shown in the video at Kilmacthomas were the result of a derailment at Currabaha or Mcgraths Level Crossing just west of Kilmacthomas. The video certainly would inspire you model sections of the line.

  6. Absolutely brilliant news.I have just ordered the 4 packs and the single wagon. The Waterford-Ballinacourty line inspired me to get more intrested in Irish Railways following a vist around Ballyvoyle viaduct in 1992.Following the closure of the Quigley Plant these wagons spent a while in Clonmel and were eventually sent to Enniscorthy in 1983 to be stored. They survived until mid to late 90s when I persume they were cut up.
  7. Park Royal coaches. They would certainly work well with all the liverys of the A class.
  8. Hi George,if you are having trouble with mk2 coaches uncoupling as I did,I replaced with Hornby couplings and found them excellent,no uncoupling or derailing.
  9. I finally got to read mine on Christmas day.Superb book, and top drawer photos.Very inspirational for modellers.Well done.
  10. I forgot I done one with a 001 class.
  11. Happy Christmas to all.
  12. If you have the standard Hornby DC controller, that could be the problem as they are notorious for cutting out.I have one for a Thomas set and it's useless.
  13. Ordered mine. Can't wait to see it.
  14. Thanks TimO. Bog Road has to fit onto my attic and my 7 seater car,so it's a bit odd especially in the fiddle area as only two roads can be used.My good friend Enda Byrne did a great job building very robust baseboards.
  15. A great day and wonderful to see faces again. Many thanks to Ken Fox who brought the Killeagh-Youghal staff for me to see.And legendary photographr Richard Wall who's 1978 photo of Bog Road Level Crossing near Youghal inspired me to do a layout of it.Oh and Fran twisted me arm to buy the A1 special edition.
  16. Many thanks to the IRM team for a superb model.Detail is gorgeous,God I am lost for words. 20211021_183453.mp4
  17. Brilliant, two books I will be ordering for Christmas reading.
  18. My heart missed a beat yesterday,I got a e mail from IRM,I thought it was for my A class order, but no it was just a confirmation e mail on delivery of my sound chip. I can't wait.
  19. Congratulations, well deserved.
  20. Working wipers and fan on the next batch
  21. I hope to dust down Bog Road Level Crossing and bring it along on the day
  22. 146 and 184 running with a Gypsum special. 20210903_195415.mp4
