  1. 234 at Mullingar, shot by Casserley, 7th June 1932, sporting distinctly Midland style smokebox chimney and buffers, I understand this was one of the last 2 of the class built which became redundant before delivery due to the GSWR takeover of the WLW (plenty of J15s to go around after all!), with subsequent sale to the Midland
  2. Hi Rob, its making slow and steady progress in the background, my main priority at the moment is finishing up some payed jobs before the end of the year, but providing theyre done in the next 3 weeks or so, I hope to make significant progress on the WLWR loco over Christmas week Latest progress is sandbox fillers, running board steps and the start of smokebox mounted lubricators P.S Ive also been chatting with J Mo about doing the ugly rebuilt versions, which I imagine will be more in keeping with most peoples modelling periods, if lacking the elegance of the 1890s/1900s version
  3. yes on all counts, and thank you very much
  4. Ive come across a photo of 27 after rebuilding in Locomotives and Railways volume 4 (1903), so thats one checked off the list
  5. My wallet really didnt need me to see the Chaldron wagon 3 packs reduced down to 44 euro! Edit; after ordering 2 sets they're only 32 euro each before postage tax etc, bargain and perfect to go with the Manning Wardle I have on order with Rapido
  6. Just added a few more items
  7. Ive just done up a quick google doc of various items Id like to move on, take a browse if you like and dm me if theres any questions or offers, I dont know how much interest there will be as its mostly british stuff, but we all know the perils and expense of importing so its handiest to offer the stuff here first before sending it back over to Brexitstan! Ill be adding more when these are gone and keeping the doc updated, thanks for looking https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hKmWM8x-OkyMy67sDcX2vrHQMyjAG7mfCHt6PfnQ2QQ/edit?tab=t.0
  8. They're quite good little engines really, lots of diecast on them, I also have the W4 but that ones fate is decided as a chassis to go under a printed body! I have quite a few other british locos and stock to be selling on as I have a garden railway and a vintage Austin to fund
  9. I have a green NCB version of the B2 peckett if thats any good? bought it for the chassis but I wont get around to that project any time soon, Id do it for 100
  10. Shades of the Listowel and Ballybunion drawbridges
  11. Utterly humbling to see what people are able to do with the prints I supply Colin - there should be enough room between the inside faces of the splashers to build to 21mm, but I imagine people building to that standard would prefer the SSM kit
  12. The coarse stone is wonderful stuff, I just wish they sold it in bigger sheets, until now I didnt know about the random stone, and googling it, it does look rather odd, I think Ill be sticking with the coarse
  13. Ive also been looking for as much WLWR material as I can acquire, but at the moment the best I can do for you is a photo of 27 Thomond before rebuilding, from, if memory serves the Clare county council website linked here a few months ago
  14. Ciaran Cooney on Twitter reckons its a southbound Athenry-Limerick working seen at Ennis with the WCR lines in the background
  15. The 2-4-0s (GSR class G3) were very nice engines, first built 1889 last withdrawn 1959. They're a strong contender for my next project after the 0-6-0 is finished
  16. yes indeed! for anyone that wants one Ill be supplying extras
  17. The last piece in the 800 class puzzle, the smokebox handwheel
  18. I dont suppose you have the instructions for that? I have one to build too but unfortunately no instructions
  19. If youre to do so at home, you need a printer that will print white (rather than toner) they're out there for a price, but theyre not especially common The good folks at Railway Mania do custom transfers to order
  20. Always a pleasure to see your work Gibbo, you make what are quite difficult conversions (Fowler to W mogul in particular) look easy, great to see
  21. Thanks very much all! truly praise from Caesar The surface finish in person is significantly better than the last sample, however there were some unfortunate marks on the boiler and smokebox which are down to the printer having to be cleaned out, as well as a small hole in the running board on the front right side I am particularly pleased with the way the M2.5 nut is held, it goes in this little trough as shown, the model is tipped forward to line it up with the hole, and then the chassis can be inserted, and the original mounting hole used
  22. Cab detail from the first finished model, it will be tomorrow before Im able to take proper photos
  23. The first test of the finished model started printing at 1am last night, it should be ready in approximately 2 1/2 hours and be ready to show tomorrow all going well
