  1. Thats quite interesting, I usually do my stuff around 16 degrees on my Mars, what machine are you using?
  2. They're superbly weathered well done
  3. Thats looking very nice, I wonder if it might be an idea to print the tank itself as a separate item that could plug into the chassis?
  4. Under the foreshore at Wisbech in England there is supposed to be a Bury 2-2-0 which became... well Buried, I say 2-2-0 the wheels had been coupled by pulleys and a leather belt
  5. Aaaah yes of course, Im familiar with such things being used on traction engines but rarely does one see it on a locomotive, I believe the WW1 Baldwin engines were fitted up with them come to think of it
  6. E410 was the first diesel on the Fenit branch I'm told
  7. This is the only photo Ive seen of the engine in its Donegal condition, the timber cab surely being an addition so I'd agree it'd have been open originally, what the hosepipe is for I have no idea
  8. So that'll be the same class as Bruckless/Skylark which was the contractors loco for the Donegal-Killybegs section of the CDR
  9. The chassis from a Bachmann J11 is quite close dimensionally to a Big D, 5' 2" wheels on a 17' 1" wheelbase on the J11 and 5' 1" wheels on a 16' 11" wheelbase on the Big D, body would need scratchbuilding or printing though
  10. This photo was published in the Railway Magazine for May 1961, the caption reads 'Train for Rosslare, headed by "J15" no. 182, running along the front at Wexford on August 14' Theres a few other interesting photos published with it including one of 184 on an IRRS special at Ballylinan, Ill scan it in if anyone is interested
  11. she's a wonderful machine, Id certainly be interested in building one at some point
  12. Hello Rich, Id be very interested to see how this build progresses, I had been aware of the engine Victoria for a while but hadn't realised there was a photo of her, this drawing appeared in the Locomotive Magazine and shows her as built as a tender engine regards, Killian
