  1. Sorry to disappoint but I think 082 is on the steel train tomorrow. It rattled a few foundations when it worked the steel train last week so it's a shame it's not on the tour.
  2. A worker in North Wall told a friend of mine they would be moving the mk3s up north a while back and that some mk3s would remain in North Wall for the Orient Express who want to have some operations over here in the future.
  3. Thanks lads. Yeah Anthony, he was lucky. I have seen many a rabbit and pheasant that were not so lucky. Another collection of videos taken on a another camera the same day;
  4. Thanks Deutschbahn. Nice video yourself of 086 and the HOBs.
  5. Thanks Irishthump. Here's another video of 220 the follwing day hauling the Ballina to Waterford DFDS liner.
  6. Those are the times they depart either North Wall or Ballina.
  7. Here's the schedule for the IWT liners taken from one of the IRRS journals. From what I have seen from videos on Youtube the IWT liners don't head straight down Alexandra Road on arrival at North Wall. A lot of the time the loco seems to be taken off the liner and used to shunt in the yard before bringing the train into the port. I don't know the Tara mines trains timetable but I will see if can I get it for you. 8:15 Ballina-North Wall IWT Mon-Fri 09:35 North Wall-Ballina IWT Mon-Fri 11:05 Ballina-North Wall IWT Wed 14:00 North Wall-Ballina IWT Thur
  8. Some freight and departmental workings filmed in Kildare including 088 heading light engine from Limerick to Inchicore to collect wagons, 226 with the North Wall to Ballina IWT liner, 088 returning to Limerick with two pocket wagons and a tara mines wagon, 224 with the Ballina to North Wall IWT liner, 078 running around in Kildare on the Waterford to Westport empty timber train whilst a health and safety crew tests the coupling and uncoupling of the train and 220 with the second North Wall to Ballina IWT liner. Footage of Intercity passenger services at Kildare consisting mostly of 22000 class units of various forms with some Cork services consisting of push pull mk4 coaches pushed and pulled by 201 class locomotives.
  9. Thanks. Jesus why did I type the 18th? I meant the 15th.
  10. A video of 078 with the DFDS liner. Taken yesterday the 15th of April. [video=youtube;SMVV-epyh7U]
  11. Indeed it did. The big arrows looked great all in a row in a rake of them.
  12. Great pics Heirflick. I always thought the old logo suited the autoballasters very well.
  13. Some shots I took today at Thomastown station and viaduct including 071 on the Waterford to Westport empty timber train, some passenger services and a bit of Mallard.
  14. I thought it was operating from Waterford. Is there any other freight flow starting up in Belview as I heard there will be an increase in rail freight traffic there?
  15. Apparently there will be a Biomass train operating between Belview and Ballina sometime in the future. I saw a couple of those wagons up close in Kildare a few weeks ago and they look very pristine. One or two of them had those white steps over the buffers and the steel floors. Maybe these were used for permanent way work previously?
  16. Greats pics Wanderer! I assume these fresh looking LPs that I keep seeing going back and forward between Inchicore and Limerick will see service soon?
  17. Nice work on the beet wagons Tom. Which one of your 201s is getting the overhaul?
  18. Thanks Heirflick. Well one of the gates I had to go through to take that photo had a sign saying "Thomastown Gun Club" on it. I think the gun would be better used if it were turned on the people vandalizing the station at Thomastown.
  19. A video of passenger services at Thomastown followed by the Belview to Portlaoise steel train. A video of passenger service at Kilkenny followed by a shot of 082 hauling the Waterford to Westport timber through Thomastown station. There wasn't much trash from 082 unfortunately as I was on the wrong side of a speed restriction at Legan just outside Thomastown station. [video=youtube;q90FTJ-AlqI] Some shots taken shortly afterwards at Thomastown viaduct.
  20. Thanks Warbonnet. How could I forget to add a grey and 209 in?
