  1. It was said on boards.ie a few minutes ago that 084 is working the weedsprayer Dublin-Waterford-Rosslare-Gorey on Wednesday and onto Dublin on Thursday. And I'm going to miss it!
  2. Great pic Noel. Wonder will 230 venture down to Waterford on the DFDS on Friday.
  3. Thanks Noel, and thanks for the info and I'll be out alright. I wonder will it be empty this time like it was on the last bank holiday. Its good to see the trains are slowly taking on heavier loads though.
  4. Same in this pic taken on another occasion.
  5. Thanks Tom, here's a video of the unfortunately failry clean 234 and a 47ft flat for weathering, painting, scratch building or whatever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kfX4EB_uBQ
  6. Fair bit of mud slide on the side on those banks too.
  7. Kirley I experienced strong wind, sunshine and rain within a couple of minutes. Thanks lads.
  8. Pictures of 234 on the Lavistown Loop with an almost FULLY loaded DFDS liner taken today. There's a couple of videos on my channels too which there is a link to below.
  9. I can't make out if these are the numbers you're after Railer. http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/hobbies/4821052
  10. I hope so;) Would like to have one of the last 071s to carry the orange livery though.
  11. Someone on IRN asked a question about a proposed Timber liner to Derry and an Eucon liner from Dublin to Cork was mentioned also.
  12. I would be very interested in bubbles and bogie cements and 20' and 45' flats.
  13. Here's a video of it moving anyway. [video=youtube;slasXpjSg-g]
  14. Now that you point that out I don't see it happening. Can the non push pull 201s not be saved at all?
  15. Do you know will this grain train be going to Waterford like it used to? It will probably be hauled by the standard bogie flats with open top covered containers like it did before except those were 20' containers on the 4w flats.
  16. Thanks for the info! I was told by IE last year they planned a new liner on the Cork route but like you said before, North Esk is closed off from the main line. It would be great to see another bulk freight flow in Ireland as they usually need specialised roling stock. What could they use for it, the shale or bogie beet wagons maybe if they are still around?
  17. It probably wont be one of the locos currently in the grey livery seeing as 071, 077 and 078 have already been produced.
  18. "To mark the upcoming 35th anniversary of the introduction of the 071 class locomotives to the Irish railway system,IE has decided to repaint loco 078 back into its original 1977 CIE Supertrain livery, 078 was observed recently being pushed into the paint shop by 085,it is expected to be released to traffic next month in coincide with the anniversary, 078 was the first loco to receive IR white stripe livery back in 1987,and this was also the 10th anniversary of the class, The repainting of 078 will also coincide with the forthcoming and much anticipated release of Murphy models 071 later in the year." it's a pitty that was a cruel April fools joke by ttc0169.
  19. Here's a video of 077 in her new livery. I notice the person who took the video was unable to identify the loco.
  20. Someone on IRN said 077 is on taras along with 072 so it should be on the other link.

    New IÉ logo...

They are on 073 also, I thought it was only the orange doors that were added to the 071s until I took this video last week. It can be seen around 1:14 in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b2bWbL4fiw
