A 450 class NIR railcar visits the bay platform at Tara junction, 6105+130 leads an Athlone-Dublin Connolly Mk3 push pull set into the platform having be given a proceed aspect in signal TJ101-the Hornby signal box being the oldest item on the layout-it’s fifty years old at this stage. 017 has charge of the Galway-Dublin Heuston Mk2D set Arrow railcar 2601+2602 are seen getting an FOW exam at the MPD

Ballisodare mill sidings, B125 has charge of the goods van train to Sligo,under the new layout lighting. 001 lines up alongside 225 to jump start the locomotive. B188 has charge of a short per-way train.

It would be an ideal project-lots of traffic potential from Galway/Mayo lines at the west end and Mullingar/Portarlington at the east end -the Shannon bridge would be an impressive sight-good luck if you progress with it.

Lucky to have 071,073,220 and 2601+2602 in retro liveries thanks to the IE CME who allowed and was enthusiastic about the repaints-I can’t see any more locomotives or railcars being repainted into any retro liveries-the 071s in particular will be gone within five more years.

Thanks Derek, They are MIR resin/white metal kits built and weathered by myself-I replaced the bogies on them with the IRM ones a few years ago.

001 shunts some wagons into position for unloading at the Mill sidings. The newly installed overhead lighting has improved the area.
