  1. Spot on Rob. The DC Kits refurbished van is a nice model. The bogies are a good representation. I think scratch built underframe tanks would enhance it even more. If DC Kits haven't already corrected the gangway it would make for a nice project to correct it yourself. Rich,
  2. Rob the first release of the (converted for use with MK11A,B,C,) Dutch Vans from DC Kits had a MK1 type gangway fitted to the models. The prototypes were fitted with MK111 gangways. Pats link to the (correct for MK11A,B,C,'s) DC Kits model is of one of the first releases. I don't know if they corrected this on further batches. To add to what the lads have said MK111's only ever ran in service with MK111 EGV's, unless there were some loose coupled movements inside Inchicore. The Dutch Vans converted were 4601 formerly 3162 4602 formerly 3163 4603 formerly 3166 HTH Rich,
  3. Great photos to go with the rest Gordy. Rich,
  4. Great photo of 112 hauling 8208 to Connoly Finnyus. I like that. Rich,
  5. I wish I could say I have Jim. I've watched lot's of video but it ain't the same. Rich,
  6. That's a good bargain Rob. I have a BSK and two BCK's set aside for the future. Replica B5 bogies are really good and in most cases their B4's are better than other manufacturers. Des's cut and shut looks like it will be a winner. When I get some time at the weekend Rob I will pm you the photos I promised. Rich,
  7. That's very well thought out and executed, it looks the part. Rich,
  8. That look's very nice Kevin, welcome to the group. Rich,
  9. The sound deadening effect is vital if the layout is built in the upper part of a house. Copydex when cured dries rubbery, add this to the rubber foam and the rubber cups on the ends of the leveling feet should help eliminate a lot of noise. Of course this doesn't really matter if the layout is in a purpose built shed. It all looks tidy and neat which is down to your method, super stuff. Rich,
  10. That's where most of us fall down Stephen. Once trains can be run and you start running to a timetable it seems to make more sense to have a running session then work on the build. Don't ever see a time when you think that it's done. Always keep adding or changing bit's here and there, it keeps things fresh and interesting. Rich,
  11. The wagons look very nice and finished to a high standard. They should be very popular. All the best for Christmas and the new year Rich,

    hello

That's a fine model, welcome aboard. Rich,
  13. Those are some fantastic models Stephen. It's made me see card modelling in a whole new light. The buildings look really sturdy and they will last as long as they are looked after. This project is something that you have been planning for years so it is well thought out, and it shows. Every time I take a peek there is something new. If you have the space you might as well throw the kitchen sink at it. I love it. Rich,
  14. I've always said it Seamus, photograph everything you can. Great info. Rich,
  15. Very true Vincent. Look at the view from my inlaws garden in my avatar of the Barrow Bridge. I used to love the Beet traffic and the Boat Train, when it was Park Royals, Cravens, BR GSV'S, Dutch Vans. Rich,
  16. I agree Pat. There aren't many more diesels left that can be produced. Unless some are retooled like the 59, Warship. Rich,
  17. Model Rail subscribers used to always get their mags before New Years Eve Fran. The Mods on Rmweb were always ready to pounce. I have to agree that all BR Diesel modellers are crying out for MK11D,E,F, coaches. Now that the BP is out of the way maybe Bachmann will decide to announce something. I wonder will they ever consider MK11B,C coaches to compliment the MK11A's. The 59 has to be the next diesel that Bachmann produce. They are one of my favorite UK diesel locos. Especially the earlier variants with the different light clusters. Were the the first foray into GM built locos in the UK. Hornby should consider a new tooling for the MK111's to compliment the 43's as I can't see them stopping production of the old Airfix Dapol MK11D's. To be fair they were a great model for their era. Although the tumbledome always looked a bit suspect. I would have loved to have seen the MM MK11's produced as a one piece body and roof model as it might have been better than the current setup where some of the models suffer bowing when they are being released from the tooling. Rich,
  18. Good work Stephen I didn't cop it in the first video. The kids were Killing each other. I was acting as peace keeper. I think I'll apply for a job in the UN. Rich,
  19. The post van pic looks like the cover of a James Herbert book Eamonn. I love the shot of the baby. Rich,
  20. Did you buy it brand new or second hand. Were the rest of the accessories provided. It seems strange that one could escape QC without detection. Rich,
  21. With a view like that Vincent don't move out. Rich,
  22. No official embargo this year Fran. They seriously need to get back to what they do best. It will be interesting to see if any new D&E models are to be announced. Rich,
  23. I love the video Stephen. The light but subtle weathering on 071 looks spot on, especially around the fuel tank. The reversing movement through the points shows how well the track is layed. The lights in the Craven look cool and I love the Dutch Van. Last but not least the sound is spot on. Rich,

Anthony I offer my deepest sympathy and prayers to you and your family. May your Dad rest in peace. God bless you all. Rich,
