  1. It certainly is Vincent. Fotopic was always a great place for finding a snap of a particular piece of rolling stock and it dug me out of many holes over the years. It is a pity what happened but at least we are well catered for by the lads that post on here and Eiretrains is invalueble. Rich,
  2. I spent a lot of yesterday evening having a good look through the Wanderers collection and it is an amazing resource. The USA and UK sections are also well worth a few hours to have a search through, well done. Rich,
  3. With the superb quality of the models and the sound chips to boot it really is a show stopping model. The great video from Kirley is the greatest example of what sound has to offer, and it has made my mind up. I will invest in one of Gareths sound chips. Rich,
  4. Have one for me Seamus, hope you have a good time, Rich,
  5. I had a great time checking out Ballybeg at the Wexford show in Easter. Now that I know that the 121's were hand painted to that level Gerry and his amazing work have reached an even higher level of skill in my estimation. There a some great examples of work produced here by all our members that contribute examples of their work in their workbench topics. Eamonn has displayed a lovely hand painted example of one of his 121 models also and it shows that if the work is done carefully and attentively it can produce marvelous models. I wish I could create a hand painted finish like those models, we are very lucky to have all these workbench topics to wow and inspire us. Well done to all. Rich,
  6. Smashing work on the Seacows Rob, they look spot on. Rich,
  7. Makes total sense Richie, Can I come to your house for Christmas dinner. Rich,
  8. Nice one Des, I'll get me some of those. Rich,
  9. I thought that some of those interested in BR modelling might like this. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/64646-latest-devolpments-from-bachmann-farish/ Rich,
  10. After seeing your work I can see why you like it. Rich,
  11. Great work Scahalane. Those bogie cements are among the best scratch built models I have seen. The A class paint job and build looks superb. One of the best painting and decal application exercises of modelling I have seen. It all looks so professional and you can see the hard work that went into it. Those wagons could be rtr they are so good. Amazing work well done. Rich,
  12. Thanks for the update Dave. It will be nice to get Christmas out of the way and it gives people time to save and something to look forward to in the new year. Rich,
  13. One aspect of our railways that I loved in the IR and early IE era was the orange and black liveries. I never really minded the Galway livery. The BR blue era was very similar in a lot of respects also. Privatization in the UK ruined the rail scene for a lot of enthusiasts and even though at this moment our railways aren't privatized, it does look like it has been over the last four years. At least we have our models to recreate our favorite era. Rich,
  14. Beat you to it in post 12 Pat. It's a great tune. Rich,
  15. That looks really good Noel especially the camera angle, it looks very realistic. Rich,
  16. I was just thinking the same thing myself Rob. Rich,
  17. I hated the push pulls when they replaced the MK11's on the Dublin Waterford route. I'd give anything now to see them back on the rails. As for railcars replacing the Cravens and babies on the Waterford Limerick route. Rich,
  18. Muhammad Ali when asked had he lost any speed. When I turn out the light at night I'm in bed before it gets dark. Rich,
  19. Sounds like the lyrics from pure morning by Placebo Richie. A friend in need is a friend indeed A friend with weed is better Rich,
  20. That all looks sweet Richie, and is a very kind offer. I'll have to have some myself. Rich,
  21. You're spot on Richie. The layout represents a period and vehicles that you don't see on many Irish layouts and it is unique in those respects. For building the layout in that period must have taken a lot of research and planing before any model building or work was carried out. It's a testament to the skill of the modelers that were involved in the build and those that operate it. It's perfect as it is and deserves all the accolades it gets. Modern O'Connell street has the historical presence of the GPO and Cleary's is a landmark building that defines the opposite side of the road. The rest is a bit bland compared to other European capital city main streets or thoroughfares. Having said that it has come on in leaps and bounds over the last 25 years and is a fine city. Rich,
  22. Very true Jim. It also looks good without that big needle in the middle of it. Rich,
  23. It's a great piece of modelling and a credit to the MRSI members. Rich,
  24. You seem to be well on the way Dave, Enjoy it that's the main thing. Rich,
