  3. I like the description of this coach, It says brand new and sealed! When I originally got mine they were sold in packs of two not individually.
  4. Almost £145.00 for one coach!!! I will have to sell mine if that's what they are going for.
  5. Agree, weren't the 141/181s done by Bachmann for Murphy Models at the time?
  6. What do you mean by that comment?
  7. Would be nice if they could adopt something on the lines of the Hatton's site with live stock updates. I recently ordered some items from Marks via their website and it said items where in stock, few days later got phone call to say two items where not available and they were unavailable at Hornby, but having looked on the Hornby site they were available to order direct. Incidentally I have just received one or the items that I could not get at Marks from Hatton's for only £2.80 postage. We are kept being told to buy 'local' but its not easy.
  8. So if purchased from UK, presumably we would then have to pay the Irish VAT, plus customs and import charges and and handling and any other charges on top of that. No more model railway bargains then

  14. Had a great time in Cultra at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum model railway day with my SVLR layout which was very well received by the show visitors. It was a very good show with all the various layouts set amongst the 12" - 1' exhibits.

  21. An post prices were reasonable at one time, but as you say the registered postage is very expensive these days. Sometimes I now use GLS/Parcel Force as depending on what you are sending it can work out a bit cheaper especially if sending larger parcels and the parcel is delivered in three working days, all tracked and signed for too. It would be handy if there was an equivalent of address pal here in Ireland. PS, if its a fault with the loco then Hornby may refund the postage cost to you.
  22. Thought it was €3.75 to collect from post office, or has the price been increased?
  23. Even a servicing facillatiy being built at Longsight (Manchester) for the eurostar sets. Would have been good if the proposals for the north of London Eurostar's took off along with the planned overnight trains, but I think the advent of the low-cost airlines at the time put paid to that.
