Now Sold. Fully scenicked OO gauge layout professionally built
irishmail replied to Martin Ball's topic in For Sale or Wanted
Lima stock should be able to run on 1st radius set track curves. Have a look at the motor bogie on the railcar, does it turn freely? If not remove and lightly file/sand the opening in the bogie frame. Its easier to do than try and explain in words. I have several Lima Locos and you do get the odd one where the bogie can be a bit stiff. Easy fix and will benefit from adding additional pick ups is not already done. -
Now listed in Free to a good home section.

Bound copies of the 2003 and 2004 Model Railroader magazine in very good condition. Due to weight would be best for collection only.

Canadian/US locos and Stock for sale (Reduced)
irishmail replied to irishmail's topic in For Sale or Wanted
It may be possible to change the coupling to tension lock but not sure how easy it would be. If you are interested in the loco then I will throw in a pair of NEM kadee coupling which you could fit to one end of a wagon if it has NEM coupling pockets and use as an adaptor wagon. Nothing wrong with fun/ non prototypical. Just remember rule 1. Regards John -

Never heard of them. I've heard of a company called Lais DCC and then there are various 'rebranded' decoders from the likes of Rails and formerly Hatton's. I have found Lenz to be the most reliable for me with no issues, If you want sound then ESU are fine.

When you think how old the molds are for these kits, must be over 50 years now since the original Kitmaster ones came out then taken over by Airfix and now Dapol they still make up into a reasonable model. I have a few of the Dapol 16 tonners and they sit well next to the Parkside version.

Still available. Selling to fund TT:120 project. -
Should not be any issues with magazines. I have a subscription to Railway Modeller which usually turns up within two weeks of publication date. I'm also in the gauge 0 guild and have this morning received the May issue of the guild gazette with out any issue. Did you contact the publisher to see what their response was?

That was one of the benefits of Hatton's before they closed down, you could put an item in your basket and you would know instantly what the shipping cost would be.

I did visit Bekonscot a couple of times, must have been in the late 1980's. Very impressive set up. The railway is gauge 1 (10mm- 1') and the buildings are I think built to 1" to 1' scale, though different scales it blends in quite effective in this set up.
