  1. It may not be up to the standards of Gaugemater etc, but for what it is, a train set controller its suitable. Are you wanting to buy this set?
  2. Where does it mention sold. And what modifications are you talking about? And yes the controller works, or I would have said otherwise.
  3. That's what happened with the April copy, it arrived eventually (but for some strange reason not the 'special' subscribers edition) then the replacement what Peco sent out was delivered the same day as the May edition. When I phoned Peco the other day to say I had not received my June edition they said another copy will be put in the post. I asked If they were aware of any problems with issues being sent overseas, particularly to Ireland and person I spoke to was not aware of any, I explained that I had this problem with the April issue and she seen that on my account and said that she would raise the issue with her manager, so will see what happens with the next couple of issues.
  4. Nowt wrong with doing up older models and trying to get them running.
  5. I have emailed them this afternoon and await their reply. Same thing hapened too with the April issue, replacement arrived and the the origional copy arrived same day as the May issue! If it happens again then I may see about changing to digital copies only, but my current printed subscription runs till March 2025 issue.
  6. Does anyone have a subscription Railway Modeller here in Ireland? I have not yet recived the the June issue which was issued three weeks ago. Usually I get the magazine within two weeks of publucation date, this is the 2nd time now as I had the same problem with the April issue. Will be contacting Peco later about this, but just wondering if anyone else is having problems.
  7. Still for sale, 3F loco in LMS livery, Stanier composite and brake coach, LMS operating mail coach GWR operating mail coach. €100.00 posted.
  8. Canadian/US locos still available.
  9. Lol yes, I have 50040 on order from Hornby, hopefully be shipped tomorow or wednesday.
  10. Marks models seem to have a higher mark up on items for some reason, one example is the Hornby TT:120 Scotsman train set which is €299.99 from Marks or €274.95 direct from Hornby. Modellbahn Union in Germany currently have it for €247.46.
  11. I have a Bachmann 37408 DCC ready (8pin) if your interested. Still has origional box. Etched nameplates fitted.
  12. Lima stock should be able to run on 1st radius set track curves. Have a look at the motor bogie on the railcar, does it turn freely? If not remove and lightly file/sand the opening in the bogie frame. Its easier to do than try and explain in words. I have several Lima Locos and you do get the odd one where the bogie can be a bit stiff. Easy fix and will benefit from adding additional pick ups is not already done.
  13. Now listed in Free to a good home section.
  14. Bound copies of the 2003 and 2004 Model Railroader magazine in very good condition. Due to weight would be best for collection only.
  15. It may be possible to change the coupling to tension lock but not sure how easy it would be. If you are interested in the loco then I will throw in a pair of NEM kadee coupling which you could fit to one end of a wagon if it has NEM coupling pockets and use as an adaptor wagon. Nothing wrong with fun/ non prototypical. Just remember rule 1. Regards John
  16. Open to reasonable offers.
  17. Still available, reasonable offers considered.
  18. Still available, open to reasonable offers?
  19. Never heard of them. I've heard of a company called Lais DCC and then there are various 'rebranded' decoders from the likes of Rails and formerly Hatton's. I have found Lenz to be the most reliable for me with no issues, If you want sound then ESU are fine.
  20. When you think how old the molds are for these kits, must be over 50 years now since the original Kitmaster ones came out then taken over by Airfix and now Dapol they still make up into a reasonable model. I have a few of the Dapol 16 tonners and they sit well next to the Parkside version.
  21. Was considering going down for the day, but would involve and 8 hour round trip from Mayo!
