Hi Tony, Looks good - are there any particular areas in the plan you're not sure on? otherwise, simply connect droppers to the rails in every area where there is regular track, use insulated rail joiners on every connection on every point, and then power the points directly

Sounds like the controller is tripping out (it has basic on board protection) Could anything be shorting the track ? -

To switch it manually between green and red, you'll need a Hornby R046 Lever switch, or any generic On-On SPTD Switch (Maplins do one for about 2 euro) -

Hi John, The R406 is not DCC 'ready' as such/ so you'll need an accessory decoder, or a switch to make them work. You could plug two of the wires to the select aux/accessory bus to test - the Black and Green wires for example, then one of the two lamps should light up (probably the green lamp) -
