Please not 216 or 225!

As far as I was aware, 206 and 208 are the only ones undergoing bodywork at the moment. However, that could be just the current operating fleet of Irish Rail / NIR. I'm heading past Inchicore on Monday so will have a looky to see if any of the orange 201's have moved. Seems to me a bit early to be doing the locos, but that depends on which locos they are 'donating' money to restore and their condition. The only thing we can say for sure is that it'll be interesting to see next year!

Good afternoon all, Today has been an ununsual day. Due to the failure of the 0600 Cork - Heuston at Newbridge (no idea what the problem was), trains were running late across the Heuston network. Good evening all, First, a bit of history. It has been 1 year since the last 6-car Class 22000 operated on the network. The honour fell to 22040 and it worked the 1810 Heuston - Portlaoise commuter service. This allowed it to return to Laois Traincare Depot where 22540 was removed and would be placed into 22020. Steam and Mark 2 Aircons - excellent!

It was the only one converted from a UK Mark 3. As 'josefstadt' said, 6401 was part of the International set and is significantly different to a standard Mark 3, with basically only the interior the same as a standard Mark 3. Different bodyshell, construction method, doors, bogies - the lot. Whereas 6402 has standard BT22 bogies (as shared with 6105 and 7146, both preserved) and also worked with Mark 3 Push/Pull sets, something which 6401 never did. 6402 in service with a Push/Pull rake -

As far as I know (and it's a technicality) CIÉ never had any Mark 2A's - only Iarnród Éireann did. Prehaps that might help your search. 231 borught an Enterprise set their for refurbishment

For Gat Ex stock it was a Mark 2 brake that was converted to gen van - It was a Mark 2B Brake First Corridor with BR

OK - it was 22036!

Not perfect - different toilet configuration and seats are different, but not that much different. Bachmann are producing Mark 2F's which are identical (bodyshell wise) to the Gatwick stock.

Dapol had announced a Class 59 years ago but never carried on - note that Dave Jones of DJ Models is the same Dave Jones that ran Dapol, so presumably knew that the 59 wasn't happening

Some of the Dapol stuff was announced in 2007-2008 and still isn't released (Class 50, although now in the CAD stage)
