  3. Dear god. I am severely tempted by both theses lovely wagons and Marks models sale. What should I do?
  4. Kids these days spend too much time on the play station and not enough time sniffing humbrol poly cement.
  5. Pleased with this
  6. was just looking back at the original post. it actually is very very cool. This guy has a live feed in his loco straight to his full scale model loco control. Tons of work there !!! playing with trains on another level
  7. They arrived fresh from Inchicore. (Er...Marks). Oh yesssssssss
  8. Yo Noel I couldn't agree more. You guys here recommended NCE . I also tried the RAILMASTER software which was grand once you got the hang of it, but as you say, it is about the touch control without having to look. Touch screen control can't do it. I've tried ! Much prefer the powercab. When you think it is logical. Touch is a sense after all. With touch screen you actually lose this sense and have to look.
  9. No I mean this IS the ultimate DCC controller...
  10. My return to railway modelling might have been brief if it had not been for the murphys. Dunno how many times I said that... But my re sprays look just like those Hornby my 2s .... Doh !!!!
  11. Cool thanks
  12. Cool. I love my couple of 141s. What generator van should be run with cravens ?
  13. Can't wait now! Pleased with the reports here folks. They are coming up from Marks in Dublin any day now! The exchange rate is doing me a few favours at the mo

  15. oh dear. Dont tell the wife. it is excellent . can i pre-order now ?
  16. that is great info many thanks
  17. also the Green and silver livery is the Best for a 201. Looks great in that shot.
  18. ah ok. thanks for that. That means I can run me trains on any rail so.......
  19. For a Dapol Kit (which I do like to build) you will need a sharp craft knife too and a little set of needle files. They are cheap. The kits these days have a lot of flashing because the moulds used are a serious age. Also, gather a few photos of the finished models to help positioning of finer details. By the way, some of the original Airfix kits occasionally appear unbuilt. There are a few on Hattons Preowned right now for £3 to £5. The plastic is better, the box is cool, but if they are wagons they will come without tension lock couplers.
  20. Great images, as always. You note that the IWT liner above is running wrong rail. Why would this be?
  21. Just a question. Been reading back through the literature about the Murphy 141s and 181s. How many different versions did Murphy release? I do love those Baby GM s and they seem to fit well with my layout size.
  22. I would go for the Dapol option
  23. First attempt at anything brass. studio scale models stuff is great !
  24. Cool. 201 is still sitting in York rd with the first half done! Some amount of masking tape there!!!
