Same when I enquired last week. Fortunately I was on the RPSI train yesterday and managed to buy one onboard. Can't wait to run them on the layout behind a pair of 071s.

One coupling handling 4500hp. 071 to GSV. Im guessing with two powerful locos the acceleration had to be limited to avoid straining the cravens couplings.

Hi Kevin. Unfortunately not, website only has a downloadable PDF order form for mail order use. The coaches are not on RPSI's online shop as they are being managed directly by RPSI dublin. Noel

As far as I know these are an RPSI product rather than through the Murphy Model channel. MM obviously assisted RPSI get them produced. Marks may be fulfilling a limited quantity on behalf of RPSI, but I saw somewhere payments had to be made to RPSI. Don't hang about they only made 250 sets.

Not working for me either now. I'll repost them as embedded photos tomorrow. There is a bug in the forum that's deleting attached JPG files about an hour or two after they are attached. (I.e. Vbulletin thinks they were not referenced so auto deleted after a timeout). This seems to only affect posts with more than one attachment.

You've transformed those wagons into something really special. Class job.

RPSI 3 Craven Coach set bought on board the 071 double header RPSI 'Munster Double' rail tour train today. These lovely models are a birthday present from my soul mate. Nice presentation box. The RPSI train right now has eight cravens + GSV hauled by 073 and 071. The noise is stirring when the two GMs hit notch 8.

They do look a little less tall in this pic, about 6", but photos can be deceptive. Photo from: http://steverabone.com/RailwayPhotographs/ With hindsight the uniload concept looked like a great idea to replace the movements that 'pick up freight' wagons needed with a simple and quick fork lift operation for passing trains. Made ventilated vans redundant.

Hi Tony. One of the reasons Gerry's superb layout works so well is the availability of quality N gauge RTR BR Outline locos and rolling stock. There are no RTR Irish locos or rolling stock for N gauge, so it would need resprays of British outline N gauge models, or if diesel era possibly 3D bodies to put on modified BR chassis, or adapted N gauge kits. If you are going for steam era than it will be easier for you to convert British outline RTR stock. For modern era there are suppliers of vinyl body transfers as an alternative to repainting. Noel

Thanks Jonathan. That's very interesting and quite helpful in the context of another C class, a pair of A classes and a 101 I am hoping to complete early this winter. Your encyclopaedic knowledge of Irish railways combined with the clear and concise way you provide it, is and has been a wonderful resource for model railway enthusiasts. Just pouring over a copy of 'Rails Through North Kerry', a superb book.

Hi Stephen, that was the original plan for the Bachmann GWR toads but now that I'm using the shorter old Hornby brake vans instead (i.e. shorter veranda and shorter overall length) so now I plan to add the windows, vertical stanchion, move the roof chimney, add lamps, modify the under frame and add plough. Step 1 - coat of primer before cutting and adding bit'n'pieces. Torn between 'Duck' standards and having a go at these.
