Video clip of CIE C class hauling converted AEC 2600 suburban push-pull set with Craven coaches. Loco is a Silverfox models kit running on a modified Bachmann centre drive chassis (141 donor), DVT is an AEC 2600 RTR by Silverfox models, and the coaches are MM RTR Cravens.

Very interesting clip Fran. Thanks for posting. The bubble looking stunning and running as well. 'IRM towers' premises looking impressive. 0:54s looks like a 17 coach mk3 prototyping line. Nice box of 'event stock' in the background at 54s Lovely weathering job on 184 too, but somebody forgot the two horns (in jest) Interesting to see an early bubble sample on the bench at 8s & 60s. Was it the near side ladder that Richie manhandled in the pub? :) I can see great things emanating from this premises.

Both Murphy Models catalog and RPSI refer to 1508 as a 'snack bar' https://www.steamtrainsireland.com/rpsi-collection/38/cravens-snack-car-1508. As far as I recall they didn't have kitchen facilities for hot food. Does anybody have any photos of the inside of 1522 and its kitchen facilities? Happy days with IRM, RPSI and MM releases this winter. There is a lot happening

Will there be any form of catering facilities at the show with somewhere to sit down for a chat over a cup of tea/coffee and rest ones feet?

Is this the type product you refer to? https://modelmaster.uk/4mm-locomotive-lining-packs/17713-mm4000b-black-lining-05mm-wide.html If its a waterslide transfer and only 0.5mm thick, I don't see how one can possibly get it absolutely 100% dead straight, especially over a paint surface join between the white and blue paint. BTW, when I used the term 'dark art', I was of course referring to the use of a lining pen nib with wet paint, which from looking at many YouTubes seems a very specialised skill. Thanks Dave Would it not be easier to stick two plasticard panels over the windows of an RPSI coach rather than respray an entire MM B&T, match the colours precisely, and do that thin black lining well enough to match the superb looking RPSI samples? For DIY the black lining seems beyond masking and probably needs the dark and rare art of a lining pen.

It should be a fairly simple and quick DIY modification from an exterior point of view. Two very thin pieces of plasticard hand painted the same cream colour glued over the centre windows like the plating over on 1514. The interior would need a little more work but just a few pieces of plasticard in place of a few rows of seats. I guess it would not be economic for MM to tool for such a tiny volume of a new specialist coach. Does anybody know if the RPSI 3 coach sets are factory repaints of existing MM B&T stock or new factory production models? I had assumed the latter.

Agree a 1514 would be nice. Wiggy over on RMweb posted a nice video of his beautifully resprayed RPSI set which included 1514 Bar car with the window panels covered over. Nice video that's shows the wagons off well. Nothing beats the fun and enjoyment of operating model trains on a spectacular layout. The 12 ballasts look really great in that scenery. Mind you Wrenneire had 18 IRM ballasts on his video, and I had 20 IRM ballasts on a kingsbridge video a few months ago. IRM might sponsor a competition for the longest video rake!!! (I jest)

Thanks Fran, don't worry one bit, I too have sinned and often 'flown in the face' of my pals advice. Since moving to Mac a few years ago it's taken me a while to transition to iMovie from various window apps I was familiar with, but I really started to enjoy what iMovie can manage all by itself without needing to use Final Cut Pro. It's quite powerful for a basic editor.

Hi 16miller Sometimes an image JPG can be too large in terms of file size to upload on some sites. It's a good idea to always reduce the size of an image that came directly off a camera or smartphone. Suggest reducing JPG image to 1024 pixals wide before attaching here or uploading to a photo hosting site. This has the added benefits of much faster upload, as well as faster display time. A photo on a camera or smartphone can be anything between 3mb and 10mb file size, but if reduced to 1024px wide will only be about 200k in file size. Retaining the original image size is of no benefit as websites generally only show about 1024 pixals wide on a screen. Noel

I understand Marks Models may have the RPSI/MM Craven sets in stock in a few weeks. Well at the rate things have been happening in the last 48hours, nothing would surprise me in relation to timing of the 121. Can't see a big demand for more MM 201s when so many are still on shelves, same with ST Mk2s, but the MM 121s should fly off the shelves.
