  1. Tonight I'm at mobile modelling putting some decals on the beet wagons - tedious, might get 4 done tonight. I need to stock up on a few things for the box.
  2. The footbridge into the backscene is a good idea, adds a bit of depth.
  3. Looking good TinTin, your rocks look very effective and your painting overall and detailing look great. Waiting for a train to come through!
  4. Many thanks. I am sure that IRM have done their research on this subject I have opted to put the running numbers on the end of my wagons.
  5. Thanks, that is interesting! Were the markings on both sides of the wagon? The above picture shows the side without the brake gear.. Is it the month and year noted under under each?
  6. Some serious delays on the Cork line tonight: The 17:00 Dublin Cork broke down and it appears that there was an issue connecting the rescue loco to the train when it eventually arrived.
  7. Would anyone know the following markings that came with the provincial wagons double beet kit mean and where they should go? It's hard to make out more than the 8-05 part on any picture or video I have seen of the prototype.
  8. Thanks all, putting on the main decals tonight. I'll think about the smaller ones!
  9. Thanks everyone, more work still to be done on them, but I had to try them out on a layout tonight!
  10. I got a new compressor recently which allowed me to finish most of the painting on the beet wagons. I forgot to drill the holes for the couplers on ten of them so I can't finish them all for the moment. Some decals and weathering to follow, and eventually a few shots of them running.
  11. Looking forward to the scenery on this one!
  12. For future models I'd say bogie cement and I suppose bagged cement is a possibility. Something like a ballast regulator or operating tamper would be right up the IRM street with detail but that's dreamland! Anyone up for timber or steel wagons? I'd be surprised by the Mark 4 DVT as there are no Irish Mark 4s available. I'm going to give the DVT a go in the next few months all going well.
  13. So SpaceX just launched a Tesla Roadster into space and live streamed it. What was more amazing was landing two of the boosters vertically back at the launch site at Cape Canaveral. The end of this video from a youtuber shows the boosters landing - recommended watching:
  14. Keep it up, the rake will look great when you are done!
  15. I have a Bachmann Fairburn tank that I am hoing to make into No. 4. It will require some filling and I am going to try Milliput to shape a taller dome on it. I don't know anything about the above loco, but it looks like a fair representation.
  16. Wicklow County Council have a map showing railway stations which once existed in the county on their website with a short history on each: http://wicklow.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/index.html?appid=4d60c090b1454c8dae828c5ae261b6cf
  17. They IE frames are all the way around.
  18. It's in the box, a bit of glue should sort it out, thanks!
