  3. No worries, Des... I'm enjoying digging them up.
  4. I dearly would have loved to travel on these railcars. Not my photos, just ones I came across online... feel free to contribute! Tramore - Waterford from the train. 7. Nice photos, JB... and it looks like you've figured out how to orientate your photos correctly. A momentous day!
  8. It was a joke. Trademark JB upside down photo... watermark the right way up...
  9. Sorry, t'was tongue-in-cheek... couldn't help myself (see photo in my post above).
  10. JB, have you considered watermarking your images to protect against ownership being claimed by someone else?
  11. Great photos, TDR. Valencia Harbour looks great... it really captures the desolation of the wild Atlantic coastline.
  12. I think I saw a photo of this coach once, in natural metal finish. Can't remember where, though! Looking at the coach end, its profile is slightly reminiscent of the Cravens...
  13. Welcome to the forum, Bhoulihan. Per site rules, can I ask you to provide an asking price? Cheers.
  14. Excellent, thanks.
  15. Cheers for that!
  16. I don't think I've ever seen a photo of this locomotive. Do you know of any?
  17. Apart from the Railroad (budget) range, their diesel locos are centre drive and have been for some time. For example, their class 31:
  18. Give me a D17 any day!
  19. Don't rule out having a go at scratchbuilding one. There's a great account of a build by Lima33 here: http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/2345-NIR-80-Class-DEMU?highlight=lima33 Not push-pull... they were under their own power. They did replace the old ex-AEC railcar push-pull units on the Greystones and Maynooth services, though.
  20. The Bachmann class 20 is the way to go, by all accounts. However, I just had a look at the prices they are going for on eBay and nearly fell out of my seat... the cheapest 'buy it now' price is €127.23, with a lot being offered for close to €250 or more, right up to €326.88. And that's all excluding postage.
  21. Ha... and a diesel at the end in case they ALL fail! Edit: That video reminds me that in Germany and some other central European countries they have 'Plandampf' events, where preserved steam locomotives take charge of regular service trains, including freight... [video=youtube_share;Xpqkc9uJaSA] Imagine 461 being set loose on the DFDS liner... The closest we've come to anything like that is when the RPSI's LPHC No. 3 was hired by a contractor to haul ballast trains on NIR metals back in the mid '00s.
  22. Except when it's a GM...
