  1. Chaps in khaki dustcoats, sprinting into Lambe's at Ballybrophy, where they each have two pints already waiting on the counter...
  2. With optional third-rail shoe?
  3. You have to be impressed by this - an event up to Japanese standards.
  4. Great, if I am around, I will make an attempt to venture to the Far East again.
  5. Will this be at Sleaford again in June?
  6. Someone needs to get to the bottom of this.
  7. Always good to see somebody smiling, happy in their work....
  8. I thought you'd be bord by now?
  9. Blimey, you're a right mona.
  10. Would a left-footed one be better?
  11. Fair enough. Usually sat on 'em - drinking tea and eating biscuits.
  12. Would it even be big enough?
  13. There will be a special edition in yellow, for those with an obsession for track maintenance machines?
  14. Apparently, the Universe is infinite. There will be planets out there that already have turf-burners. Fact!
  15. Look on the bright side, not everybody has a special day for themselves....
  16. What was the nature of the turf used? Was it variable 'hand-won' sods or more regular machine-turf? Or even milled peat, perhaps? Is there a suitable 1/76th scale product available, or will you be able to provide a specialist substance? Turf is not like coal, where you can just crush it to a suitable size. I spent several days cutting a sod into several thousand blocks, only to find that it isn't a stable material at those sizes. Obviously, there will also need to be a specialist smoke oil.
  17. In the real world, straight track is much easier to put down and there would generally need to be a reasonable reason for curving things.
  18. Nothing is risk-free.
  19. Get a new one? The internet is full of adverts...
  20. I wonder if there could be a facility for invoices/receipt to show the goods as bulk purchases of washing powder, lawn mower spares, etc. This could make things easier for those under domestic pressures. Obviously, for fertiliser wagons, it just needs a few omissions for 'her' to think that the purchaser is actually behaving as instructed.
  21. In the aftermath of the Big Snow. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/near-miss-with-train-driver-at-stafford View from the front of the approaching train at 85mph.
  22. Chinchilla fur is a bit awkward if you get it wet. They much prefer to bathe in dust - you can get it from pet suppliers. Usually a dry clay powder.
  23. We're beginning to go round in circles here now - or, more accurately, ovals.
  24. Oh, cheers - actually, if you're buying, I'll have an advocaat, thanks.
