  1. Bloke here plays with it from about eight minutes in...
  2. Short delays after a bridge strike between Limerick and Limerick junction - .
  3. This one - http://www.railwaysarchive.co.uk/documents/HSE_Rickerscote1996.pdf - happened in the early stages of privatisation, not far from me - the complications of ownerships and responsibilities took years to unravel.
  4. It's all about presentation - apparently.
  5. There's a link to the full report - https://assets.digital.cabinet-office.gov.uk/media/555c9d0640f0b669c4000004/150521_R042015_Loughborough_Central.pdf - in the BBC article, but it's in black for some reason and people don't always notice those links.

  14. Although painted up as a wartime 617 Squadron aircraft, the actual aircraft itself wasn't delivered early enough for wartime operations and went virtually straight into storage - it was subsequently used for some photographic operations, but had not a lot of hours on it before it became used for "historical" purposes and some film work.
  15. Other Avro aircraft have caught fire in Lincolnshire, with less favourable outcomes, even with less inflammatory fuel...
  16. Engine fire the other day.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-32628263
  17. Indeed. (Note - You can edit your own posts for that sort of error)
  18. Some "cloud-ploughing" at 2:00 & 4:15 in here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5KLgiVTYhU
  19. I had a night on the Nigerian Guinness - it's about as close as you get....
