  1. Some of these pictures should have 'Parental Advisory' filters - I'm traumatised here...
  2. Ah, so - but was there a uniform provided?
  3. This cat just needs a proper job to keep it occupied.. ..like this one - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tama_(cat) ..
  4. It's all falling apart over here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-26120583 - the South-West is disconnected and the ground-level electrification in the South East hasn't helped, either....

    Bridges

Let's hope not - not after all that excellent work...
  6. Ah, now, we can all do that sort of thing when we've had a few....
  7. Show her how romantic trains can be - http://new.irishrail.ie/fare-and-tickets/love-train .... ..just a thought..
  8. ...?
  9. I have the first three - Irish Railways Miscellany Irish Railways vol 1 The Swansong of Steam in Ulster vol 2 The Irish Narrow Gauge 1939-59 vol 3 - interesting stuff. I think there's nine available altogether. Often offered on eBay.
  10. They have difficulty there on a regular basis - perhaps if they glued it with a big dropper....? It does exist in the real world, e.g. Paddington Station. The line to Holyhead along the North Wales coast was washed away for weeks back in the '70s. Similar trouble is still on-going today - http://www.railnews.co.uk/news/2013/12/06-north-wales-storm-repairs-will.html ...

  12. Might be possible, using the same parts...
  13. The Hornby ones are electrically heated, with a tiny immersion heater in the boiler.
  14. At the rate of advance that the RTR market has had in the last few decades, it night not be too long before some Chinese factory makes a limited run of RTR 00 live steam turf burners.
  15. All club together and have it as a time-share..?
  16. I was hoping for hydraulic damping to be a feature - ah, well....
  17. The buildings at Stafford are mostly used for cattle and dog shows - there is an inbuilt air of 'life' that is only slightly masked by the fumes leaking from the heating system. Rucksacks seem much less in evidence in recent years.
  18. They're already counting down for next year - http://www.staffordrailwaycircle.org.uk/exhibition.php - perhaps you'll manage it next time....
  19. I'm not even sure if such things were even available. This is the car-park today, after the water's drained down by about three/four inches since yesterday.. ..there some big holes around, where people have really got bogged in..
  20. And a bloody gigantic Bakewell tart.
  21. The parking was truly bizarre - some comments on my other Forum - http://www.staffordforum.com/xf/index.php?threads/sat-1-feb-2014-model-railway-exhibition.13116/#post-214453 - it might be on top of a hill, but the whole place was a primordial swamp. The sausage rolls are lovely - I have one every year.
  22. Further info here - http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/77856-stafford-railway-circle-exhibition/page-6#entry1328665 - via a friend who was on Black Country Blues.
  23. Info here- http://www.staffordrailwaycircle.org.uk/exhibition2014.php
  24. Gresley Beat is crazily good - the joins are almost invisible, even if you trace them from the edge - and there's even lamps along the tunnel walls - do see it if you can. You could spend an hour watching it. The chap in the picture even looks like the sort of bloke that would have a layout like that... The pics aren't really the best - it's a dim hall and I don't like to flash....
  25. ..and more.. Sometimes, interesting parts of the system can be hidden..
