POSTPONED! IRM 2018 Launch, Saturday March 3rd, Ryan's Bar, Dublin.
NIRCLASS80 replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
Love this list. How about a three car class 80 and then use the Mark 2 coach mold for the basis for an Accurascale British project!!! Come on lads!!! -
Thanks Paul. Yes it looks ok. A bit strange at first but after 40 years of running on HO scale track it was always going to be!!

Early February announcement with regular updates like ballast and bubbles sounds good. -

Just to be difficult perhaps every 6 months so that you have a fairly good idea how advanced projects are and still people have time to save so cash for the spending spree!! -
Brilliant, I’ll take 18.

Talking to rep at Warley they intend to expand the range, but how quickly is any man's guess!

Just a few notes about the new Peco Bullhead track for those that haven’t seen it before. Sleeper spacing is greater than code 75 or 100 streamline track. Points are currently available in large radius only, here is a photo of code 75 and bullhead side by side. Also the hinge joints on the point blades are gone.

Still only large radius points available but I decided that would be fine as I am building a fairly simple shelf style layout. They are lovely points. I am buying locally but I live in Shropshire so it maybe a distance from you!! After my previous large Canadian layout this layout is very much planned to be operationally interesting so my track plan is fictional and just very much a place to enjoy the lovely Irish models now being produced.

Well it’s been slow going. First decision was what track to go for? After looking at many options I have taken the plunge for the new Peco bullhead rail. I know the width of the track isn’t correct but for my own sanity and to speed things up and bullhead was common in Ireland until the 1990’s.

Lovely modelling.

It would be CAF Dmus like the rest of the system and a rationalised station like most others.
-
Bubble vote carried out.
-
Great stuff. Any chance of building two!!!!!

Happy Christmas everyone. Love this forum. One of the few places online that you find helpful advice and encouragement. I think the relatively small numbers involved means we have to stick together. Gaz

Just brilliant. Happy Christmas.

Irish Rail 2000/01 Working Timetable "NOW SOLD"

PM sent. -
No problem Paul. I have no idea when the windows being blanked out dates from but I will PM you a name of a local Ballymena railway buff who might be able to help. It used to be great sitting in the cabin with the tablet exchange bell drowning out the sound of the church bells of St Patrick's as they practised during the evening. Bliss!

An accurate Class 50 would declare me bankrupt!!!

Yes that's it in 1990.
