  1. Thanks for all the help in this thread. I have 1 completed tonight apart from couplers as I am going to try kadees and then it is off to the paint shop.
  2. Not only painted in correct colours but they also intend to include a few flashing lights on the data recording panel!!!
  3. Here is a link to a photo of the first mold shots that were displayed at Warley. https://www.flickr.com/photos/nirailfan/15247016394/
  4. Just to let everyone know that after a brief discussion with "legomanbiffo" at Warley he intends to do new Irish recordings and sounds during 2015 for ESU Loksound. He was running some BR diesels at the show and I have got to say the Class 37 was brilliant. Here is a link to his Youtube channel to have a look. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfRnBPFj6tZV_XCRMJTq4BQ
  5. Looks great, love the light in the cabin.
  6. I think it would be great for Paddy Murphy to continue making and developing the Locomotive market for Ireland with modellers of the irish scene giving him full support with their wallet. Crowd funding is all about producing an item with no middle man and making exactly the amount purchased by people in advance. Therefore I would say the first such venture needs to be a high quality wagon to support Murphy Models high quality locos.
  7. I visited the shop out at Boucher Retail Park about two weeks ago and the shutters were down and a notice said that the shop unit was now closed and that they would be operating online only.
  8. Some great layouts but the lighting spoils a good day.
  9. Where are these sound decoders available? Is that 071 in the video fitted with the original speaker? Sound great!!
  10. Kadees with the NEM fitting is the best option.
  11. Uploaded a couple of videos of the layout. See at the links below. https://www.flickr.com/photos/nirailfan/
  12. Some recently delivered Intermountain SD40-2's https://www.flickr.com/photos/nirailfan/
  13. Some pictures of the recently acquired Tangent Hoppers. These cars are excellent, no parts falling off and printing is excellent. https://www.flickr.com/photos/nirailfan/
  14. How did you stick the brass onto the plastic sides??
  15. Is that the Gatwick Driving Trailer at the rear of the last photo??
  16. Some more photos of the GMD1's including the 6 axle version https://www.flickr.com/photos/nirailfan/
  17. Some images now available of Rapido Trains GMD-1's on my flickr link below https://www.flickr.com/photos/nirailfan/
  18. Yes I found the Hornby Mark 3 coaches ok. The glazing is a pig to get out without breaking so I gave up and just fitted new windows by flushglazing. See the results here in photo and video. The genny coach is yet to be constructed. https://www.flickr.com/photos/nirailfan/
  19. Thanks rebelred for your comments I have uploaded a couple of videos of the rake. The genny van is still to be constructed.
  20. A couple of images uploaded of my Irish Rail Mk3 set that I have just completed apart from the genny.
  21. I think McCullough's in Bangor have a blue NIR GM in stock. I saw one yesterday but I cannot confirm which one.
