  1. Well after test running one empty flat with a heavy rake of mixed stock behind I modified the flat to run better by the following; 1.Removed the brass flat washer between the bogies and body and inserted M3 steel washers. 2.Removed the couplings from the bogies and fitted kadees to the actual body. I have been tested this arrangement for over 1 hour running forwards at a scale speed of 60MPH and backwards at 15MPH over various points and track configurations and so far no derailments. Please note my sharpest curve is 22"

  9. Just to let everyone know that after a brief discussion with "legomanbiffo" at Warley he intends to do new Irish recordings and sounds during 2015 for ESU Loksound. He was running some BR diesels at the show and I have got to say the Class 37 was brilliant. Here is a link to his Youtube channel to have a look. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfRnBPFj6tZV_XCRMJTq4BQ
  10. Looks great, love the light in the cabin.
  11. I think it would be great for Paddy Murphy to continue making and developing the Locomotive market for Ireland with modellers of the irish scene giving him full support with their wallet. Crowd funding is all about producing an item with no middle man and making exactly the amount purchased by people in advance. Therefore I would say the first such venture needs to be a high quality wagon to support Murphy Models high quality locos.
  12. A Class
  13. I visited the shop out at Boucher Retail Park about two weeks ago and the shutters were down and a notice said that the shop unit was now closed and that they would be operating online only.
  14. Some great layouts but the lighting spoils a good day.
  15. Where are these sound decoders available? Is that 071 in the video fitted with the original speaker? Sound great!!
  16. Kadees with the NEM fitting is the best option.
