  1. I'm still holding out hope that it's an annoucement that A39r will come with 1:76 scale figures of Norman and Mike, complete with banana accesories
  2. Some IR GMs have popped up on ebay if anyone wants some for their collections https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Murphy-Models-MM0143-Class-141-IR-Orange-No-143/373230775043?hash=item56e649ab03:g:tGEAAOSwlK1fa1iX https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Murphy-models-IR-183-Baby-Gm/373230765142?hash=item56e6498456:g:JCEAAOSw4Plfa1bU https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Murphy-models-IR-192-Baby-Gm/373230770590?hash=item56e649999e:g:nK8AAOSwiS9fa1e8
  3. The shunter in daylight. A kitbash of old Airfix kits into a structure inspired by Waterford Cabin. Interior all set up for interior lighting lighting and ready for glazing.
  4. My reaction as a PW engineer to No.800 returning the network:
  5. Ah I see them now. Thanks that'll be handy for the PPs.
  6. Ah that answers my question! Is there any pictures of a 121 with them on? Stunning model that's just arrived and increases my thirst for the orange ones! Bravo Paddy what a model to go out on.
  7. Considering that like a lot of people, Covid 19 has given me a lot of free time and I've been able to step back into the world of building models again. My latest project was a repaint of a Oxford Janus that I acquired extremely cheaply off a friend as he had pruchased the train pack and only wanted the wagons. 30 quid cheaper and I was the proud owner of a handsome smooth running model but an ICI liveried loco stuck out among my Irish collection so a quick repaint over the weekend into a CIE inspired green turned 'Richard' into CSÉ No.1 'Edel' Just needs some final touch ups but sits well within my fleet of beets (the first lockdown project back in March! How time seems to fly)

I like the new visuals. Nice and clean!
  9. Thanks for the link but the thread only makes mention standard CIE green used up to 1955, not the post 1955 green.
  10. I was wondering what manufactor makes the closest shade of green to the post 1955 carriage livery? I've trawled through the forum and found a thread that discusses pre 1955 green but no mention of the post 1955 shades.
  11. I mean there's the new Hatton's Gensis project which would give decent foundation for to be resprayed into Irish colours.
  12. Jesus is the website right in saying they're already sold out? If so, fair play lads that's got to be a record.
  13. So missing routes - Glounthaune - Middleton - Rosslare - Rosslare Europort - Killarney - Tralee - Docklands - Glasnevin Junction - Belfast - Colarine - Belfast - Larne - Cultra - Bangor
  14. "Hornby clung to "Try-Ang" standards" I'm sorry but of all the bull you've spewed, this takes the biscuit. The Merchant Navies, 60s, 08s, Teaks, Pullmans always drove the expected norm for a model up a notch from fine detail, smooth running, livery application, behaviour you praise IRM/AS for doing the exact same a decade later. I take it then all the awards Hornby has won for its models are just junk, dark ages inward looking or is it kids brain melted from leds, ICRs and the smell of plastics?
  15. 3173 our current GSV, was started out as a BCK however 3185 is a former BSK like 3187
  16. And of course the final word from me on the coach. If enough of us order the SF coach and start detailing it, Murphy's Law will have to kick in and Fran and the lads will annouce a RTR one!
  17. Another way of looking at things is that we're 90% closer to a highly detailed weedspayer train then we were yesterday. My only niggle (and it's a minor niggle at that) I do enjoy the long run times and preordering, as it gives me a chance to spend my pennies over time then one lump sum but at the same time I can rest easy now, knowing all that's due shortly is the nearly paid off 121s and my paid As.
  18. Oh now that's a tasty pricing. Order placed! Also, correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there mention of etched plates coming with this pack to represent the warning boards the locos wear?
  19. I mean is it a heritage livery if the locos have not stopped carrying the livery? Like the return of 071 and 073 to heritage liveries was welcome as the rest of the fleet was in the slate grey livery.
  20. Their website:https://www.connemararailway.ie/ And FB page: https://www.facebook.com/connemararailwayman/ They've also gotten coverage in regional and national papers.
  21. Standards and EGVs mainly for me.
  22. Well I'd certainly want a rake or two. Was away from the hobby when they were first released and like hen's teeth nowadays.
  23. Indeed I was nice and safe, combo pack now ordered! I do love a bit of the anld yellew stuff
  24. In fairness to the lads, they've done a rerun of the bubbles this year and have mentioned that they will do a rerun of the ballast hoppers. I'm sure in a year or so, if the demand is there, we'd see a rerun of some of Project 42 - even if it's just the flats. Especally with the loads on sale seperately.
  25. Ah bugger, hope these don't sell out until payday on Monday. Still wasn't expecting this announement today.
