  1. Great job @ Adrian. I like the way you photographed it together with the non-weathered version, gives a real insight into how a good weathering job can enhance a model.
  2. My sentiments exactly. I'd say that they've been sitting on that 'major' announcement since January last and they're laughing among themselves as to which one of them will press the send button. In all probability we won't know until about a minute to midnight tomorrow (28th inst).
  3. Think you have a point there. If Accurascale are producing the class 66 then it's likely that IRM have their sights on the 201.
  4. In my humble opinion it's a horrible livery on an ugly diesel railcar set.
  5. Is there much of a market for 1 gauge (spur 1) models of Irish prototypes?
  6. Think you're being overly optimistic, 'this major announcement will be posted on February 31st, most likely. Just one trillion sleeps to go..................
  7. Five minutes to go..........
  8. The IRM A class is a far superior locomotive.
  9. With Accurascale launching their version of the BR class 66 it's certainly intriguing as to what IRM's new major announcement will be. For me, it's down to the 201(new) and the 071.
  10. What a real surprise and wasn't expecting this. It's a good that Accurascale are using the Hatton's original tooling and ironing out the flaws - what a novel approach. Sometimes, that's all what needs to be done with some models. Hatton's hit the crossbar and Accuracale are going to score with this one.
  11. Not the New IRM Announcement I was expecting. It's more of an Old new announcement
  12. Wouldn't be surprised if 'they' did, has been known to happen.
  13. Wonder if the same applies to someone who says that there's going to be a major announcement 'next month' and that time has almost passed without a whisper.........
  14. Reading through the article you can see that none of the trains were constructed as the manufacturer [CAF] double checked the measurements before they commenced the job. A bit of a storm in a teacup if you ask me.
  15. At those prices I guess the market is ready for a run of new 071s, think they're most peoples' favourite locomotive.
  16. Have to agree with that statement (in bold) as my budget can only stretch to a set of the class 22,000 this year Can certainly wait a little while longer for the 071 for as the ICRs tick all of the boxes but, a little something to run with my silvers As would be most welcome.
  17. Someone who's really desperate will pay that, however, as I always say - the loco is far better than I could ever make by hand and, rather than wait for Murphy Models to produce the next run of 141/181 locomotives, it's available now.
  18. I like the large scale stuff but it certainly costs a pretty penny (1.269738 Euro-cent to be precise). Have seen lots of videos of Gauge 1 stuff and it's very impressive but only something I could ever dream of having plus. Certainly, if I had the money and space that's the stuff I'd go for. Anyway, living in Germany you're in railway model heaven.
  19. It was the Guinness talking, most likely. No harm in that, you could have worse things talking (my x comes to mind). Speaking of talking, no word from the guys at IRM yet, good chance you'll have lots of Guinness talk before that happens - it's amazing how much you can consume in seven days.
  20. @murphaphThanks for posting the pictures/videos. I'd say it was a great day out.
  21. Just seven sleeps to go.............................. This is worse than having my teeth pulled out (don't have to worry about that anymore!)
  22. Fantastic layout. The Pullman 125 set looks very impressive.
  23. This is an interesting video by Chadwick Model Railway giving his view on Hornby TT120 Hornby TT 120 and my views on Hornby's marketing strategy, at Chadwick Model Railway 181. - YouTube
  24. Within the next 13 days.........
  25. I like crushed apple juice also. It's produced by Bulmers and it's very tasty.
