  1. Hi Nelson, if you click on resources at the top & then click on prototype drawings page 6 there are some drawings for NCC Vans. Hope that helps, Good Luck.
  2. That's a great build, and the weathering makes all the difference. Can you tell me what this machine was used for?
  3. Very nice work as usual david, can i ask do you varnish the wagons and what do you use spray or brush and does it effect the weathering powders?
  4. Thanks David, 50-50 is easier to mix. The longer cure time gives more time to mess about with it before it starts to set, i think i will try your's. the rubber mould i use capures every detail and is tough. It doesn't say anything about shelf life, but it's good.
  5. I think i will just rest them on top and i might put something under the frame. The hoppers will have ballast in them so it will look ok from the top.
  6. Totally super job so far. It's a lot of work and looking forward to more pic's. I might try one myself sometime.
  7. Thank for your comments. The Buffers are from MJT 2350 and the mould is one piece. I will also do a 22ft flat for Bell containers. It would be hard to mass produce as it took long enough to do one.
  8. Hi David, I got my moulding rubber from Sylmasta, The rubber mould is pretty good just pour over your master and wait 12 hours, i gave it 24hours but it worked out ok. the resin sets very quick 4 minutes but you need more time to get the bubbles out. What is your resin like? I have put some Pic's up on My workbench thread you can see how it looks.
  9. Hi, This thread will be used for all of my creations & i will put my older posts here also. here are some pic's of a 20tf flat i have made from a resin casting that i made. It took a lot of time making the master but i think it has turned out ok. I need about 30 of these to build some Ballast wagons & Cement bubbles so it should help speed things up.
  10. they look great, very realistic. Can you tell me what resin you have used as i have been using one myself from Sylmasta and it leaves a lot of bubbles in the casting so i might try a different type. I will post up some pic's shortly of the 20ft flat that i have made from resin. it has turned out ok, just about another 30 to go. I will use them for Ballast wagons & Cement bubbles.
  11. New Railway Programme starting 8.00pm Chanel 5 on Thur 29th Aug. There are 12 episodes about Modern English railways. Should be interesting.
  12. That looks amazing David, looks so real. Total perfection & great skill.
  13. The tin vans look great, it will be nice to see them all painted in finished colours.
  14. Looking really good. love the landscape & trackwork. The DFDS Liner just looks so real, Great work.
  15. Here is a pic that i took at Antrim a couple of years ago.
  16. Very nice Depot. Was it a kit or scratch built ?.
  17. They look great, be nice to see them when they are finished. I would also like to know where you get the buffers & bogies ?
  18. Great film, it's like another world and interesting to see the British flag flying. About 100 years ago now.
  19. Luve the loco's, the blue NIR is amazing i hope i can make mine look like that, it's so real. I still havn't got used to that grey colour, maybe in time. What was wrong with the silver/black ?
  20. Hi Liverbird81, I have some pic's of Lisburn Station i took a few week ago, i have some more detail pic's of windows, doors, chimneys etc if you need them let me know.
  21. Thanks for your comments. It might be better to put all pictures in one thread, it would be easier to see all the pictures in one place. The white dust staining on the side is just light grey paint dry brushed until you get the effect you want.
  22. Here are few pic's of a NIR Ballast Wagon that was made from a Cambrian Models Kit C67 SR 40t Hopper Wagon. Tranfers from SSM & Ballast is from Woodland Scenics medium gray. Paint is Humbrol Insignia Yellow 154. It's not a bad kit to put together but some tricky parts on the two ends.

    CIE Brakevan.

The chassis that was used on both Parkside Dundas 10ft underframe kit PA16 £2.00 or 12 ft kit PA10 £2.00. They are cheap & you can modify as you like. I changed the brakegear & made my own buffers to make it look more irish.
