  1. Thank's for the feedback on the cement wagon. The rubber mould is made by placing the part to be cast face up and glued down so it sits flat and won't move in a container just a wee bit bigger than the part and pour the rubber over it, making sure it covers it all by about 1cm. I pour a small amount on first and make sure it goes into all the little corners. It takes about a day to set and the rubber is very tough. Give it a go.
  2. They look good to me. Depending on the look you want, some pictures in books show them in a new condition and in the late part of their working life they were quite dirty & rusted. If your happy with them that's all that matters.
  3. Very nice bubbles, love the weathering=D
  4. Cement Bubble Wagon. This is my first Bubble wagon and it took a lot of work but it turned out ok i think. It's my own moulded underframe and bubble is by D&M Models MJT Buffers 2350, Brakepipes 2950, Brass etch detail by SSM. Here are some pic's.

  10. Thank's for the info, and the two pic's are good to have, it is so hard to get pictures of things like this. Can i also ask are the numbers, logo and stripe done in white or light green or was both used & did some coaches not have the stripe?
  11. The coaches look great, i'll take 2 and see how i get on with that for now. Do you think the roof vents are a bit big & could be replaced with smaller one?
  12. Thanks for the info, it will be a good project, can't wait.
  13. A question i would like to know, which Dapol coach is best for the brass overlay 57ft or 60ft. Dapol do coaches in kits for around £10 could these be used & also does the overlay have to be glued onto the sides or can it be used to replace the sides?
  14. Pallet Cement Wagon Drawing. This is my drawing of the wagon that i built. I hope it helps anyone wishing to build this wagon. the underframe made from my own mould is ok but needs a lot of work to get it right, so it would not be suitable for sale. Anyway Thanks for all your comments.
