Question

I am looking to finish some Walthers Tank Kits (as in for storing liquids) in a stainless steel finish. Think milk-tankers or some of the American passanger coaches. Kind of a flat shine. Any tips or examples on the type of paint to use etc.? As always, thanks in advance!

"Years ago", there was 'Metalskin', sort of adhesive foil, that did give a fine effect. I'm not sure if it's still around, Google comes up with all sorts of "matches" that aren't it - the aircraft boys may know?

Humbrol also did some 'burnishable' paints, that were pretty good, but took some work to get right, especially on large areas.

Alclad is the best metal paints I reckon;-

Alclad has really been Surpassed at this stage, AK Extreme Metal is more hard Wearing than Alclad which easily Rub off with handling.
