As Andy won't show pics of his latest creation, I will. The Book (you need to be up with the HHGTTG terminology), suggested that I hire The Heart of Gold to test its time travel capabilities. I found myself in 1930s Donegal, however infinitely improbable that was......

The place, Bruckless on the Killybegs branch. "Forbes' taxi" (aka Railcar No.1) has just arrived with its trailer. Andy tells me that the "Taxi" was to carry EIGHT - the trailer had about thirty seats!IMG_4398.thumb.JPG.b97132d40526283e6cc3dcd38e65729b.JPG

I'm happy to say that "Bruckless" attracted a continuous flow of visitors at the Southampton MREx yesterday, with Andy kept busy describing how he had built up (actually HE BUILT THEM!) his immense collection of CDR stock over a period of about thirty years.

Railcar No.9 (20 seater)

Steam on the daily goods, complete with a "Henry Forbes" look-alike, in the form of the worthily proud builder.

Most enjoyable trip to see Bruckless today - bumped into @leslie10646which is always a bonus! Great to meet @Andy Cundick and get a guided tour of Donegal stock over the decades! Thanks for all your patient explanations to my questions Andy! Not to mention the impromptu railcar parade :) Exquisite stock and a lovely background against which to view it all. See it if you can !

Lucky you today ☺️

It was great to meet up with Andy and David today. It was the 13th on one respect that I missed a photo of the Great Britain tour having failed to find the watering point near Wantage (now grotesquely build up!). Linda, though, had the Winner in the National!

Here's the three of them admiring the Forbesian Cavalade to end all n arrow gauge cavalcades with Andy's CDRJC railcars in numerical order No.1 (two versions of No.2) right through to  No.12, so Phoenix was there as No.11 - being admired by @Galteemore, @Andy Cundick and my Chauffeuse!

Can;t understand how that happened, Was after 3 or 4 Irish theme Narrow Gauge at least.😀

Rumours are abounding that Nevil Kent will make an announcement about an RTR OOn3 Railcar becoming available.

The best for Donegal layouts was the Chippenham show back in the 90s when they went all out for Irish layouts and had about 9 including three Donegal layouts and  Adavoyle with Donegal stock .its the only time i've had someone say to me " theres an awful lot of Donegal layouts"ah happy days Andy
