COMMUTER29000 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Dublin based graphic design agency 'Image Now' was the creator of the new logo. Link: http://www.imagenow.ie/work/identity/irish-rail-1.php Surprising as many of the other projects they worked on turned out great eg. Dublin Bus, TV3 and DAA. Quote
Railer Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Haven't been on the railway in ages, but have just passed Fairview Dart Depot and spotted a 4-car Dart set with the new logo applied and the word 'DART' next to it in an awful font. Wasn't expecting it so no photo I'm afraid. Also surprised at how much graffiti there was on the rolling stock- at least 8 vehicles showing serious amount of damage. 2 LHB sets have been sitting there for over a month in the down passing loop on the south side of the depot covered in graffiti. Some sets don't move for weeks on end now as they are surplus to requirements. There are about 4 LHB sets in storage. Quote

Given that it resembles a stylised "N", I'd have thought NIR would have made better use of it. Quote

tonybonneyba Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Translink's is a boring generic logo, it could be any TOC beginning with the letter 'T', but it's still better looking (marginally) than this atrocity. Some people nickname the TNIR logo (just the T & circle) "The coffee bean". I actually quite like the new logo, it's a new style for Iarnód Éireann. Quote
