The P Class wheelbase is 15" longer than NER loco. 1

Killian Keane Posted July 27 Author Posted July 27 Its a big ask I know but would anyone have photos of the cab interior of the MGWR E/J26? I cant for the life of me establish whether they were screw or lever reverse and which side that was mounted on etc etc

GSR 800 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 not brilliant but shows some of the backhead detail https://www.flickr.com/photos/irishrailwayarchive/53509091889/in/photolist-2pZhkzL-2qEc2KN-2pwDm6y-2pwq5MP-2pwiTJB-2pwDQTy-2pwDQTt https://www.flickr.com/photos/irishrailwayarchive/53510472622/in/photolist-2pqQxgM-2qUTuzP-2pwjBQF-2pwfAqs-2qUUdW9-2qUTecq-2qUTdXn-2qUUdWe-2qUTuNE-2pwDXuL-2pwiTHu-2pwxaey-2pwiTJG-2pwEwFR-2pvFPEL is the driver operating the wheel there by the looks of it?? 1

DoctorPan Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Looks very promising and I would be eager for some of these prints. Just curious, what's the donor chassis for the A?

Many thanks for those, theyll be very useful, one thing Ive just noticed about the photo of 557 is it still has lamp irons on the rear bufferbeam, a hangover from MGWR days, at least one of the Waterford and Tramore examples also appears to have kept them on the rear 1
Killian Keane Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Ive started designing the Atock vacuum pipe, and Im debating whether itd be better to just have it as a piece (or two) of brass rod, this isnt supported anywhere other than where it meets the running board and at the apex of the smokebox where it hinges, itd also be very hard to paint (brass?) the way its routed between the sandbox and smokebox. I might have the hinge printed and have a brass rod meet it at each side, we shall see Edited 9 hours ago by Killian Keane 1

You could use the fitting for the brass pipe to the flexible as a support, printed to the smokebox door. There seems to be a kind of metal strap support from the flexi pipe to the tank also? I think the best bet could be printed as separate detail with plugs into the smokebox door? A discussion on the vaccum pipe can be found here
