jhb171achill Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Folks, I may have posted this before (can't remember) but I am interested in getting hold of a model of the type of bus that would have done the No. 10 route in the late seventies / early 80s, and done up in the (dreaded!) desert sand livery. Is there anyone who would have one, or could advise me on the type, or point me in the direction of whoever might be able to supply one? Possibly also whatever would have done the same route in the early 60s.
Warbonnet Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Mr. Poots has done kits of the D's (standard and Van Hool I believe) but I think they're long sold out. It would be worth giving him a shout or looking on EBay.
Warbonnet Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 The standard D has not been released yet. Apologies Tony, I thought he did them before. Am I right in thinking kits were available for them previously manufactured by somebody?
Tarabuses Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Jim is taking orders for the standard D at present. There was a very limited run of a hand built metal model some time back.

skinner75 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I'd be interested in a couple of those - I missed out on a lot of Jim's fantastic kits in the past
Tarabuses Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) The phot is of the hand built metal model not Jim Poots kit, which is not due for realese until Easter or thereabouts. JIM POOTS email: jimpoots@googlemail.com Edited February 6, 2014 by Tarabuses
Weshty Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I'd be interested in a couple of those - I missed out on a lot of Jim's fantastic kits in the past` They really are superb kits. Very well designed with great detail, interiors, wheels, acetate etc. Though I'm primarily a train man, I've taken to getting a sample of each of his releases... someday I may even build them!
dave182 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Did a few of these make it into the two-tone green of Dublin Bus?
