Garfield Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 JB, have you considered watermarking your images to protect against ownership being claimed by someone else? Quote
jhb171achill Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 No idea how, Garfield! Ping me privately with details? Quote
Garfield Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 No idea how, Garfield! Ping me privately with details? Sorry, t'was tongue-in-cheek... couldn't help myself (see photo in my post above). Quote
Junctionmad Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Under the Berne convention you are granted copyright by the mere fact of publishing it. No need to actually make a copyright statement at all Quote

Noel Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 It was a joke. Trademark JB upside down photo... watermark the right way up... LOL JB, your lucky its not the middle ages, you'd be deported to Australia so your photos could be understood (in jest) Quote
jhb171achill Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 Ahhh! I see it now - I missed that, Garfield! :-) Instead of watermarking them, I'm going to guinnessmark them. Quote
rebelred Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Hi jhb, your photos are posting upside down because they are too large or wide. Crop a small bit off them before you post and they should come out the right way (Although I'mso used to looking at them upside down I think I'll miss them!! Quote
Broithe Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I'm so used to looking at them upside down I think I'll miss them!! Yeah, leave 'em alone, it's almost the only exercise I get. Quote
Noel Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Yeah, leave 'em alone, it's almost the only exercise I get. Brilliant Ps. It's nothing to do with image size, just orientation (ie rotation). This commonly occurs when using a smartphone held flat horizontally facing down over the subject. Put subjects on their side before photograping, or easier just use EDIT->ROTATE in the photos app of smartphone after taking the photo to put it right way up. It's kind of like making sure a TV is plugged in before switching it on Quote
jhb171achill Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 What I'll do next time is photo them with an ipad instead of phone, and see how that works out. Quote
Glenderg Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 What I'll do next time is photo them with an ipad instead of phone, and see how that works out. A Camera would be preferable JB! Quote
