Looks like WMRC Little Siddington O gauge layout. The track is Peco O gauge. Noel Edited January 4, 2021 by Noel Quote
Galteemore Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 I think the ballasting is the difference / the background tracks are fully ballasted as befits a main line. The foreground track looks more like a siding. 1 Quote

Noel Hi & many thanks Noel, but which track is O gauge, the near or the far & what gauge is the other one, & is that all Wooden..! because one of those tracks is really life like...!! tia Paul Quote
Galteemore Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 (edited) It’s all O gauge Paul, with plastic sleepers. Here is a shot on my old O gauge layout under construction, showing the bare track on a sector plate next to scenically treated stuff. Edited January 4, 2021 by Galteemore Quote
NIR Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 I think it's just a wide angle camera view making the nearer track gauge seem wider, the furthest track looks narrower still 1 Quote
David Holman Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Plus the nearest track seems at a slightly higher level, which also makes a difference. Quote

So what’s your opinion on this, TIA BTB Quote
Robert Shrives Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 Hi The sleepering looks to be ever so slighty wider on the mainlines at the back which is what you have picked upon. For me the neat baseboard join is very well executed, it does not shout "fault line." So well done to the builders. Quote
RobertRoche Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 I think what we are seeing here is a wider sleeper used under the points. If you look at the mainlines to the background of the picture you will see that the sleepers on those lines appear narrower and at a different spacing. Here is another picture from Little Siddington which you can find on its layout thread. Quote
David Holman Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 Indeed. Point timbers could be 12 inches wide, whereas plain track usually had nine inch timbers. 1 Quote
burnthebox Posted January 21, 2021 Author Posted January 21, 2021 (edited) Well guys, many thanks, so I’ve been zooming down to as close as possible to hear..! What those two are saying, & b6 doing that you can see, well I can, specsavers et all, a size difference, in width of the sleepers between the nearest track & the main line tracks, I’m only interested in these sets of track because of the apparent difference in them, the main tracks look so real..! I’d very much like to think the main line track is Peco code 100 or 75, Bullhead, nickel silver, flexi track...! As it looks the bus...! tia BTB Edited January 21, 2021 by burnthebox Quote
