Ordered a Class 20 which was delivered and SR Booster from Rails on the way, I just Pay VAT on arrival and €3.50 to the PO. Simple no messing.

Was not much to start with TBH Tempted with a Dapol B4 O gauge with sound but left it off. Vanished now.

Really Tough about Hattons., TBF I have not bought any thing from the UK since brexit until very recently when I bough a class 20 and Booster loco. Stopped buying from Kernow some time ago, For Pre orders they have a daft set up by charging your credit card for the total cost of the item, then they credit your card in between the rate can fluctuate and you loose money.

Think the black should go up to this line where the arrow is. The HMS Hood Association says that the depth of the black boot topping was about 8 feet. This equates to 4mm in this scale, which is the distance between the two guide lines on the hull Mind you I like the thinner line.

Think the moulding from 1965 has just about had it!! Add a bit of etch, it really pops these boats. WEM 1/600 HMS Hood (PE 616) | White Ensign Models

Wow Vert interesting but of kit there.
-
Only saw this now. Not a bad kit, Looking at it I thought it would be a nightmare due to the breakdown of the parts but as bit of time and care it turned out a lot better then I had reckoned. This kit was a product from 2019 so modern enough tooling and the 406 is from 2005!!!

Its a great source, I used it for looking up old buildings when I come across them. very handy.

You Can't Beat A Bit of Bulleid - Open Wagons Next For IRM
Georgeconna replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
Some Lovely shots on this thread that I have never seen before! thanks it now pushing my thoughts into the 50's as the more interesting of the Era's to run on a layout!! -
Mind you, a "G" is probably a better option, though Silverfox apparently don't make them any more. Interesting, Wonder if they have been tipped off as one maybe coming out, Reminds me like a certain Beet wagon kit was not available coming up to the release of the IRM one. We may never know!!

Z21 adds 3 or 4 to the Written address I think, only daft thing about it really.

We don't do Supply Chain or brokerage for IRM so of no help their sorry. TBH could not say anyhow if we did...
-
Probably will be keenly priced every couple of months from now I expect. The same ol stuff gets peddled out fairly frequently these days.

Watched the Vid and the model looks fab. I had an old Hornby one from the 1970's that would survive a nuke,I can still smell the motor!! The detail is pretty awesome on this, Just wonder if the Etch footsteps and lamp irons etc are Glued or fitted into slots for Clumsy hands like myself! It takes me back to a trip with my Dad to Warley and then the day after to the SVR for a spin. A pannier 5764 turned up with 7 Mk.1 coaches. I sniggered at the little Loco, We boarded for the last service from Brignorth as twilight fell and we were about 2 coached back from the loco, By god the little Beast put in a massive performance with sparks flying from the Chimney, a sight and sound I will never forget. I could be tempted if this loco pops out at some stage, just missed it by 10 as 5754 is being released. hope this does well for you. 2024 for the Southern release then LOL!!

Had a Powercab, Too basic, Sold it, Got the Z21 Never looked back.

Nice close coupling there Noel. Love the Letter box opening on the coach side. Wonder how many people actually posted a letter into a train!

Thanks Boskany thats perfectly understood. Its the non benefit of Brexit that is pushing unrealistic cost on modellers. Not an AS issue, DPD charging VAT on the Brokerage fee. AFAIK should not be doing so. Going through the motions with DPD now. If any one fancys a Manor best get them here to avoid customs messing. Steam Locomotive Manor Class GWR 7808 Cookham Manor | OO gauge (modellbahnunion.com) No Me tis a Buddy of mine, Not way I'd pay that sort of money for 2 Figures!! Grand price on their own but all the custom malarkey pushed it beyond sensible. Again no fault of AS. As Stephen says order the Figs with the locos and get them with Free postage.
-
Back to this ol chestnut again A buddy of mine informed me he "bought a crew for my new Manor last week. Price €9.95 plus €5.95 P & P." Notice from dpd yesterday. VAT €3.67 Brokerage €5.00. Vat on brokerage €1.15. Total €25.72. The end price is pretty ridiculous for 2 figures. I know AS have their reasons for not having these on the EU site but a cost like that is crazy. AFAIK there should be no VAT on Brokerage Services either so are DPD chancing their arm here.

Well if they are like the Hornby Schools Class you cant go wrong, Absolutely the best running locos I have steam wise, they glide along but know what you mean though they show up every undulation. Oxford's Adam Tank was woeful.
