  1. Definitely SLNCR, tell me more Noel, I never heard of the place, I was thinking Manorhamilton but now you have me intrigued.
  2. Painted now, already thinking about layout number 1
  3. I would guess that they put in the wrong description on the form, the red tape involved with overseas postage is gone ridiculous, I got shafted with a €31 bill from an post for a parcel yesterday, vat and admin fee
  4. Baseboards done, ready for lots of thought, gave myself plenty options, the stand alone baseboard is 1000x600, the long narrow one is 1800x400 and the end one is 1600x600 with a sharing corner added, I can have a few various small layouts, lots to play with. .
  5. Silly money
  6. PM sent Dave
  7. The end of the build is in sight, paint covers a multitude , I also got a bit of art hung
  8. And he is in the north, dreamer comes to mind
  9. Taping and jointing stage, first round.

  15. Some great photos there, well spotted
  16. You have great patience lad, maybe move that hammer though, I know the temptation from previous hobbies, I was looking forward to tackling kit building in the future, now I'm hooked.
  17. Guinness is good for you And some Jameson
  18. Nice pics there Derek and I have to agree with you about those wagons, they are top drawer, I love them too.
  19. Yes all of the above sounds like one of my thought processes, if I could pick up a wheel somewhere I could cut it in half, that would be a good start
  20. Nicely done.
  21. I will have to address the block situation, I don't know what the best option is visually, maybe a fascia across the bottom covering the blocks? Or even an artist's impression of wheels and all the other ironworks?
  22. I was thinking about it but then I also thought about smoke and dust etc, not ideal for a layout If I put it on wheels then maybe some of you lot would arrive with a low loader
  23. Haha thank you kindly sir, I'm enjoying the build in between the rain showers but I'm afraid the inside is going to look more comfortable than it was originally, I think those old vans were very chilly in the winter!
