  1. Very valid thought there Martin, I will do that tomorrow.
  2. I was there today and I saw lots of bord na mona stock waiting to be restored, the place is full to the rafters with future projects that will never be done without millions of donations.
  3. Can the more learned among you lads tell me what points I need for the above layout? I'm going goggle eyed
  4. No more sacrilegious than an actual track at ground level I reckon, you have trains running at road level in some of our own cities, as for the signal box idea, I like it.
  5. Brilliant, thank you kindly sir, I appreciate that.
  6. I completely forgot about that place, thanks Noel.
  7. Heading over to Dromod tomorrow to see if I can get more info Martin.
  8. Well why not! Thanks to Noel here, another Sligo man, I'm going to have a go at doing this, I am gathering information about it, took a trip over there today and met a local man who had lots of info, took a few pictures and found some more online, next thing is trying to find a track plan for the junction. I'm looking forward to this now. This is the board, 1800x600, plenty room.
  9. Going to head over there in the morning for a look.
  10. I presume it's safer to call off the next one to avoid the same issue happening and in the meantime see if a simple solution can be found, I think it will be grand.
  11. And so the collection continues.... Plenty weathering and renumbering to be done...
  12. Definitely SLNCR, tell me more Noel, I never heard of the place, I was thinking Manorhamilton but now you have me intrigued.
  13. Painted now, already thinking about layout number 1
  14. I would guess that they put in the wrong description on the form, the red tape involved with overseas postage is gone ridiculous, I got shafted with a €31 bill from an post for a parcel yesterday, vat and admin fee
  15. Baseboards done, ready for lots of thought, gave myself plenty options, the stand alone baseboard is 1000x600, the long narrow one is 1800x400 and the end one is 1600x600 with a sharing corner added, I can have a few various small layouts, lots to play with. .
  16. The end of the build is in sight, paint covers a multitude , I also got a bit of art hung
  17. And he is in the north, dreamer comes to mind
  18. Taping and jointing stage, first round.
