I used a sheet of bird cage grit paper and stuck it down before I spread the grass.

Looks great Noel, I presume a barrier wagon was a safety feature between the tanks and locomotive? What was in the wagon, was it just normal freight?

Nope just found them very fiddly to glue as they are just foam strips covered in the finish, very effective though.
