Had a chance to look through that Rails of Sheffield Class 37/0 post in more detail this morning. Looks like nine livery variants in total: 3720 BR Blue 3721 BR Blue large Logo 3722 Engineer's 3724 BR Green 3725 Railfreigh Unbranded 3726 EWS 3727 DRS 3728 Railfreight Red Stripe Weathered GM7240401 BR Blue with White Stripe I see no 3723 on the list... Wonder if they'll hit us with a surprise InterCity Executive variant! Rails are advertising all at approx £569 GBP down from approx £669 GBP, except for the weathered variant.

I suspect we'll see another run of AccuraGen coaches at some stage...

Arran suggested cutting a 40' HC in half so if that's all it takes, the tooling can't be that difficult. A plain red 20' HC would suffice, but still may not work for the Irish and UK markets, obviously I get that. Meant a Consent 40', not 45'. Saw lots of them on the old Bell liner trains.

I wonder would IRM consider stocking containers? There are some excellent offerings from C-Rail Intermodal, from Hornby, and Dapol have their moments. It'd be nice to be able to order from all of the ranges in the one place. I can imagine that there may be competition issues, and viability issues, but it may merit consideration.

There'll almost definitely be some more released into stock when pre-orders have been shipped to customers. You can usually subscribe to each product for a notification using the "Email Me When Available" button but it's missing for these, so keep an eye on the sales website around the time pre-orders start shipping.

Don't mind the moaning and negativity, @TheSeanRailWay and @37058. While not prototypical, these are gorgeous little sets, great runners, and represent Ireland's rail network taking a step in the right direction. And, through sheer great luck, Mr. @MOGUL has one for sale HERE!

IRM were pretty on the ball with the pre-ordering campaign, too. Lots of fanfare on the forum, plenty of mail-outs etc. Mark's were quiet as a mouse, as if the launch was a secret. Free post? I see that the new 141's / 181's have almost sold out at IRM, but Mark's Models still have the full range in stock. Why the discrepancy in the rate of sales, I wonder?

Those Dickie Tara's were absolutely incredible value when you think about it. Fair play to IRM for letting them go the way they did.
