  1. I'd say that they are likely to get damaged in transit, or during warranty repairs of other issues, so yes, I'd call them a warranty related part.
  2. I'll let you live in a 141 cab down here, don't worry.
  3. Not disagreeing with the demand at all, but am thinking of the supply side. He'll need to hold back the bulk of the spares for a reasonable time frame to cover warranty stuff. IRM did the same thing with A Class spares, and it's entirely logical. Imagine Paddy ran out of spare wipers, for example, in the first few months, and it was common knowledge, then couldn't cover warranty stuff? That'd be a nightmare for him and for his customers. Hopefully he considers them as standalone parts, agreed! @WRENNEIRE had some spare handrails last year, so I guess they do appear from time to time. And there are whitemetal spare buffers on eBay: https://www.ebay.es/itm/155376010301
  4. A few between now and March? What are you hiding???
  5. Assuming that the wipers will be plentiful enough for that! I'd say that there'll be rationing in effect, as Paddy will need to hold the bulk of the spares back for warranty jobs etc.
  6. Imagine what's going to happen to loco prices when the IRM Mk2ABC coaches arrive, and then the second batch, and Cement Bubbles or any wagons that may arrive, and then the PRs...
  7. They'd probably still fit an existing 071, though, even if it took a tiny bit of tweaking to fit a pair?
  8. I spoke with @Weshty about some of them a few months back and he had none, had no short term plans to order any, and will contact me when he plans ordering them. No harm in trying him but since he hasn't been in touch with me, I doubt that he has any.
  9. Are the 071 and 141 / 181 wipers the same? New batch of 141 / 181's due from Murphy Models at some stage so maybe they'll have spares?
  10. Did you try @murphaph's decal sheets, @DiveController? I'm sure that you are correct, there were CAD images in one of the Fert or P42 posts with NET or IFI branding.
  11. That's a bit of a surprise. From the workbench threads on the forum, I thought that a lot of members would have been dying to try the sheets out.
  12. May be an idea to re-read my post:
  13. Has anybody on the forum used @murphaph's decal sheets on the pallet loads as per his workbench thread? Sorry, this is the thread that I was looking for when I found the duplicate by @mphoey and triplicate by @Noel. Available in both IRM packaging and Accurascale packaging!
  14. @MOGUL's workbench is very quiet. Too busy selling buses to other people instead of me?
  15. Original thread here: And a duplicate here: So I guess there are three identical threads on the Accessory packs!
  16. That's not what I meant. Not at all. I'm sorry if it came across like that. I don't want to try again as I tried pretty hard to avoid that kind of a response in my first post. Please keep posting the same stuff again and again if you like, it's your thread, and the forum is a free place where we all look for something in common. I did not mean to be insulting or belittling, only constructive.
  17. Have just watched your other video on it. It may not be for me (DC Hornby R912 and DC Gaugemaster GMC-DS controllers and an Android KEYOne and KEY2) but it looks like it will definitely open the door for many people.
  18. Excellent, thank you. So buying the 21 Pin decoder and powerbank, and downloading the (free?) application from the Apple store or whatever they call it, you can basically run a DCC light and sound loco on a DC layout? And I assume you just leave your DC controller set at full power in any direction and don't touch it again?
  19. Wonderful video, thank you. I'm sorry if I missed this part of the video, but what were you using to control the locos? A mobile 'phone?
  20. I wonder if there will be spares available from Paddy when the new run of 201's arrive. Could be a while, I know, but he may surprise us!
  21. I don't want to be negative, so I apologise in advance if this come across that way. It is genuinely meant in a constructive way. While Gort is fabulous, and you should be very proud of what you have achieved, the thread is starting to feel a little repetitious, now. I get a Gort notification and think that I'm gonna see a new video or a new running session or a yellow weedspray train behind a grey 071 or whatever, but it just kind of feels like it's the same stuff again and again, packaged differently. Old photos, plans, whatever etc. Again, @Noel, Gort is incredible, it takes the idea of prototypical modelling and does a wonderful job, but maybe there's not much to add to the thread until you have something new - maybe the cassette that you spoke of would allow an update or two. Dugort and Brookhall Mill are examples of layouts that warrant frequent updates, there's always something new or something tweaked. Gort is more like a Barrow Street in that there is less to post about in general, while still being an amazing layout. Some fresh running session videos would be nice.
  22. Don't worry, we'll get those four 141's down here somehow, and you can use one as your summer residence.
  23. You did well on them! Funny seeing people in long sleeves.
  24. How dare you sell buses to anybody other than me???
