  1. Saw that one on Adverts.ie for €525 earlier. I have a feeling that he needs to sell on eBay to get the red mist boost and get that higher price.
  2. Yeah, it's mine, decided to sell a pack at a loss to try build a rating of some sort. Only one bid, and the bidder is your mate, John Paul, so he'll probably re-sell them. Just bamboozled as to why I can't see my own damn ad in the search results.
  3. I'm having the same problem again trying to see this listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175760436377 IRM Container Liners but they don't show up in the search results, only if somebody gives me the direct link.
  4. That 085 that @Fowler4f created a separate eBay thread for looks like it might end at a fair price: https://www.ebay.es/itm/175757401179
  5. Sounds like you DON'T like it! Now asking for €500 for the six Cravens. That's cheaper than Hatton's and eBay.
  6. He's a bad one. Not only would he deprive you of your Lyons, he'd deprive you of your Harp if he had the chance.
  7. Once you don't write to Michael O'Leary.
  8. Time to set up a YT channel for all of the various layouts! This is gonna be too good not to.
  9. Hi All. Just wondering what donor chassis people have used for their kit-built / scratch-built / 3D printed Irish locos and stock, across N Gauge, OO Gauge, O Gauge and other scales. There have been many mentions throughout the forum, but I thought it would be good to get a few of them together in the one thread. The O Gauge Heljan Class 58 was what set me thinking along these lines, as the chassis looks like it may be useful. I know that the HO Gauge Athearn SW-1500 is definitely the main contender for OO gauge 121's, 141's and 181's, it's been posted to death on the forum so there's not much to say on that one, but what else? Shapeways O Gauge Irish stuff tends to be 1:48 rather than 1:43, presumably due to it's American ancestry. For reference, the Athearn SW-1500: https://www.hattons.co.uk/stocklistdatabase/356676/athearn_95831ath_sw1500_emd_203_of_the_great_northern_railway/stockdetail What do people use for bogie sides? Some of the Irish bogies are very uniquely Irish looking indeed.
  10. "Shortly" was the last update:
  11. Doors and roof detailing probably wrong, too? Doors and roof detailing probably wrong, too?
  12. @Sean recently shared a link with me, and I'd be much obliged if he could share it again here. Mainly on shelf layouts but further down the article was a section on what I plan doing, and may be an idea for you - building the shelf layout into some cabinets, so it's really not taking up any more space than one shelf of your cabinets.
  13. I hate, hate, hate to say it, but that's not as bad as the prices they fetch through eBay and through Hatton's, €120 each. Plus, if I chose to sell some of mine, which have been run, I'd be selling for that kind of price to break even, after buying at above-average prices, paying postage, then paying import tax, then paying the same again to get them up to Ireland. I know that there's a pretty low probability that your man Pat Bentley lives in Las Canarias, so probably hasn't paid quite that much, I do accept that.
  14. Hornby HST Mk3's quite cheap for anybody interested in respraying: https://www.hattons.co.uk/stocklist/siteresults?search/scales/OO/product-types/Coaches/brands/Hornby/sub-types/BR Mark 3 (HST)%2CBR Mark 3 (sliding door)/bargain/true/sort/4
  15. To add to that, I've just tried on the PC with the same results. However, when I turn on my VPN and use an Irish or UK IP address, the advert DOES appear in the search results, but only on the .co.uk platform.
  16. Using @Sean's link, and removing all of the crap from the end of it, I can see the item. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175757401179 Changing the .co.uk to .es, I can still see it. https://www.ebay.es/itm/175757401179 But it does not appear in my search results on .co.uk, .es nor .ie. So I'm guessing that there is some sort of additional level of visibility for sellers now, where they can block regions based on IP addresses or something. P.S.: Booooooo Mallorca, yay Canarias!
  17. Maybe sellers have the option to block their listings from certain regions based on IP addresses, rather than just the .es / .co.uk platforms. I'll find out soon enough for myself!
  18. Not a bad price at all! Damage sounds minimal. Wonder why it doesn't appear in the search results for me. I can usually see stuff on the British site, even when they don't offer postage off the island.
  19. You mean "Thanks a Brookhall" ?
  20. I'm not seeing it on eBay, even on the British site: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=Murphy+Models
  21. With big thanks to @Tarabuses (and no thanks to that @MOGUL fellow) I've filled a few gaps in the bus collection. Also picked up a nice BritBus Dublin bus from @Westcorkrailway's buddy, Irishbloke77 for a fair price. I'm still on the hunt for two IRM BritBus commissions: CitySwift no. 13A https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/exclusive-irm-buses/products/copy-of-dublin-bus-cityswift-13a RailLink no. 90 https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/exclusive-irm-buses/products/dublin-bus-rail-link-volvo-rv-class-olympian-rv517 Still hungry for the older BritBus Dublin buses, if anybody has any that they want to let go.
  22. Definitely agree with that... Looking back at one of the videos I took about five years ago after dusting off some of my childhood BR stock and receiving a lovely Deltic in the post from Marks models, and contrasting it to the few Irish bits and bobs that I have today, it is also the path that I took. @derek has the new batch of Murphy Models Class 141 / 181's to look forward to, and an IRM steam loco, more Murphy Models Mk2D coaches, IRM Mk2ABC coaches AND Park Royal coaches! Hatton's Genesis coaches are probably only a stone's throw away, too.
  23. I'm sure I could wrangle a 10% FFF discount on an apartment. Family, friends and Forumers...
