Brookhall Mill - A GNR(I) Micro Layout
DJ Dangerous replied to Patrick Davey's topic in Irish Model Layouts
Congrats, @Patrick Davey and @Tullygrainey! Sounds like you had a wonderful time, and the layout and stock are exhibition grade and beyond! -
Stunning shot, simply sublime. Bond always works under cover of darkness.

Thanks, @derek! We get them every summer, usually arson, but we had no proper winter last year - no snow on Teide, no cold winds from the Atlantic, so the place is drier than usual. Here's a video I took last summer:

Bit of info here: http://www.industrialheritage.eu/2021/European-Year-Rail/ENDANGERED/IE/Narrow-gauge-railway-at-Bere-Island "During World War One Bere Island was a strategic British military base, much of the architecture still remains, including the remains of a narrow gauge railway track, the remains of a turntable and a building which served as an engineers’ workshop with platform at the front of the building. The track ran from this building to a nearby pier. Equipment for the base was landed at the pier and transported by railway to the workshop. The site is currently owned by the Irish Department of Defence. The track is largely intact, just overgrown in place. The building is maintained and used by the Department of Defence."

Received a picture from @murphaph... Little 048 is soon to start winging her way home! Big thanks to @murphaph for saving her, and to IRM for some spares that were needed!

How did you curve it? Hairdryer?

With something like 9,000 hectares on fire and almost 13,000 people in shelters, and the fire reaching the point where it can no longer be extinguished, it seemed poignant to have a look at these two today. Green Godesses from both Oxford and Corgi. The Oxford one is probably better overall but I prefer the look of the valves on the back of the Corgi model.

I'm very fond of the plate girder bridge sides. Think that they look smashing. This kind of thing here:
-
Love the bridge side!

Mmmmmmh, The Cookie Bible...

Please don't say due to structural failure of the bookcases, because I'm cutting massive holes in the sides of mine!
-
They look the business!!!

Yours are going to be withheld indefinitely due to a lack of Blackstairs updates.

IXO Models TR099 1983 Volvo F10. Absolutely love the F10's and F12's. Prefer them like this, without the roofbox. Unbranded "Everest Model" eBay 1:48 containers on a butchered Edicola brand trailer as with previous posts.

What lighting kits are you using, @ttc0169?

And again: Next, you'll be telling us that the nose panels are DCC operated, and so is the snacks trolley!

Accurascale's First O Gauge Locomotive???
DJ Dangerous replied to DJ Dangerous's topic in British Outline Modelling
Will we see an O Gauge EP at the October show? Something to haul those O Gauge RPSI Mk2's maybe? And don't lie to me, there's no way that they're OO! -
They look so good!!! Too much detail for OO Gauge, so these have to be a stealth O Gauge launch.
