  14. The Lima O Gauge 4F in CIE livery is a very rare beast, one of the harder to find of the older "Irish" outline models Lima N Gauge Irish is the rarest, followed by O, then HO and OO would be the most produced of the models
  15. If anyone is looking for a Heljan Beyer Garratt for Crimbo there might be one at Bray Wheelers this Sunday:cool:
  16. Anything in Cultra that might help. there's a load of Donegal stock there
  17. My long abiding memory is the smell of the great unwashed as I entered on the early ticket Like Court 4 on a Monday morning.....
  18. That appears to be a common problem with these locos Run them on larger radius curves and longer points if you can Weight can help but it seems to be the coupling arrangement on these particular locos
  19. Just pressed button B Got me money back
  20. A friend asked about some of the Bachmann 57' CIE Coaches I went to my stash and found a couple that I had not cataloged back in '12 Basically Bachmann had produced these coaches as LMS 57' and they owned the moulds etc Murphy had them painted into CIE colours and given them a range of running numbers Bachmann USA then had them produced into their 00651 Irish Railway set, N class loco & 3 57' coaches I think it caused a bit of hassle at the time but nothing he could do about it They also produced 2 additional coaches to enhance the set,74700 , 3rd class coach 1337 & 74701 a Brake 3rd 1088 Premium HO Scale but are in fact OO scale. 74700 74701 00651 The coaches in this set are: 3rd/Brake 1096 All 3rd 1333 1st/3rd 2097 So with the 5 that MM produced through Bachmann this makes a total of 10 of these fine coaches.
  21. What really miffs me is why run a rake with all Orange or black roofs? They were always of mixed format, a case of the next coach in line being added from the carriage shed Also a Galway Restaurant or EGV added to a rake of InterCity liveried Mk 2's makes a nice combination, one that was seen on the network
  22. Dont know why they are so hard to find Ray Same amount of Black & Oranged roof ones were made Still a few Black roofed ones around but haven't seen an Orange roofed one in ages March 2011 they were issued so I suppose after 5 1/2 years it not too surprising
  23. Try the DART on a Saturday night at about 11ish Doesn't really matter what direction you travel, results will be similar Don't forget to tuck your trousers into your boots.......
