    You mentioned Jouef track Rory Where and when did you pick it up? I would try to use more modern Peco or Hornby track made from Nickle Silver Ease of maintenance would also suggest the Nickle Silver I would reckon the Jouef is steel and tends to need a lot more maintenance, it also rusts if used in a damp shed or loft

    Check out the O Connell Street layout at the MRSI exhibition this October Bank Holiday weekend Plenty of trams running on it. The lads running the layout ( I use the term LADS very lightly) are a fount of knowledge on the Dublin trams of the late 30's and into the 40's

    My truppence worth about the Belmond gig. I think the colour of it is terrible, there was a blank canvas available and they went for blue all over, very imaginative. The price of a jant in it is frightening, their cheapest journey is €3160, the price of a small family hatchback The company is based in London, so when the bills are paid all the loot will be UK bound. I could rant on but its getting late and me cocoa is going cold
